Story
Who can make sense of the book of Revelation? Actually, James Jordan can explain it—not in all of its mystical intrigue and many-layered prophecies—but in at least one solid interpretation. Many people lament that they have never read or heard a single take that makes sense. This real-life explanation can get one started in unraveling the enigmatic book. Volume Two “Thunder” covers Revelation chapters 1-11, whereas Volume One addressed the middle of the book deciphering the dragon, sea beast, land beast, false prophet, 144,000, and other intriguing characters.

Original, good character and plots. Some continuity issues here and there and also some impossible emotional scenes from time to time but still a decent story.

This was good enough for what it was. The preforming was excellent, the writing was great for what it was. I enjoyed that love played a significant role in the book not just more adult stuff. That was probably my favorite part even if it was extremely unrealistic lol

Angels: What the Bible Really Says About God’s Heavenly Host

Story
In his latest book, Angels, Dr. Heiser reveals what the Bible really says about God's supernatural servants. Heiser focuses on loyal, holy heavenly beings because the Bible has a lot more to say about them than most people suspect. Most people presume all there is to know about angels is what has been passed on in Christian tradition, but in reality, that tradition is quite incomplete and often inaccurate. Angels is not guided by traditions, stories, speculations, or myths about angels.

Story
What can the call to discipleship, the adherence to the word of Jesus, mean today to the businessman, the soldier, the laborer, or the aristocrat? What did Jesus mean to say to us? What is his will for us today? Drawing on the Sermon on the Mount, Dietrich Bonhoeffer answers these timeless questions by providing a seminal reading of the dichotomy between "cheap grace" and "costly grace."

Obeying as evidence of faithfulness

There are many perspectives here that I have never heard or considered. I can’t say I understand them all, but what I did understand I tended to agree with. May have been the odd ball thing here and there I didn’t agree with but it could also be that I miss understood what was being said. Enjoyed the book even if I think it “heavy” reading. Enjoyed the person reading too.

Story
Could you share the gospel with another person? Would you know where to start? Do you even know what the gospel is? It's the Good News of Jesus, and a gospeler is simply someone who shares it with others. Willie Robertson writes about his story of faith, which came about in large part because a stranger went out of his way—as well as his comfort zone—to have a spiritual conversation with Willie's father, Phil. And from that story, he tells listeners how they, too, can talk about Jesus with their family, friends, neighbors, and even people they meet along the way.

Story
The book of Revelation was written to do just that: reveal. In this commentary, Douglas Wilson provides a passage-by-passage walkthrough of the entire book, showing how John’s most notorious prophecies concern the Fall of Jerusalem in AD 70. Explaining symbols and characters as he goes, Wilson shows from the text that not only is this book not an elaborate code, but that Revelation is not even ultimately concerned with the end of the world as we know it. Revelation is about the triumph of the Church, which always happens when the Man comes around.

I’ve read the other reviews. I know what they complain about. And I have my own complaints. Despite them… buy all these books. The story gets better, deeper and wider with each book. I don’t want to like them but I have read them all back to back without stopping except to live my life lol… granted I am a story addict but these were good enough that they mostly left me smiling and always wanting to listen to the next one. It’s probably not the best I’ve ever heard but it’s going to be one of those that I listen to over and over again for years to come.
