Really loved how they took complex concepts and brought them down to a practical level. I genuinely feel that I can implement some of their recommendations to create a healthier me and foster a healthier marriage. Thank you Les and Leslie for your expertise in the field and making it accessible for the general public. I could see this book becoming a gateway to therapy/counseling for those who are nervous to start or aren’t sure what they even need to work on. This book will help you look inward if you actually do the work!

My formative years of the faith were during the boom of purity culture. I am grateful for biblically grounded parents who helped me to think critically and shielded me from some of its harmful teachings, but I was not unaffected by the messages women/girls were given. I’m so grateful to Sheila and the team for writing this book to help guide me as I raise my own daughter, thank you for paving the way for reconstruction of what it means to be a godly woman. As a data nerd myself, I couldn’t be more pleased to see biblically backed teachings, supported by data and harmful teachings warned against by data. I can’t think of a better way to judge the fruit than cold hard numbers. Thank you for delving into the experience of women. I am so grateful.

Thank you for writing the book that I needed. The biblical womanhood culture in Christianity can be tricky to navigate. I was pretty confident about our family choices, but this book helped me to reinforce that we absolutely can do this! Great advice, encouragement and ideas. My husband is a rockstar in so many ways that my friends high-earning husbands are not (necessarily)… thank you for reframing what it means to be “ambitious” and “contribute” to the family in ways that may not be financial. Thanks Farnoosh!
