Disappointing, pedantic, and lazy in thought
Reviewed: 12-17-22
Predictable and biased to the extreme. Such a disappointment from a good author. Spreads more lies and stereotypes than I thought was possible. Newsflash, Republicans are not racist murderers of immigrants, rapists, and every other thing the author thinks.

Craig Dilouie once again knocked it out of the park with this series. Mostly accurate details, wonderful flow, and gripping prose will keep you going and going.

Story
In the near future, the United States has fought a short, bloody war with China in the Pacific. The fighting is over, but the US Navy maintains a blockade. Some call it the First Sino-American War. Others worry it is the start of World War III. In a prison cell in Beijing, Navy fighter pilot Jack Knapp tells his story about the victory in the Battle of Taiwan and how he ended up in a Chinese show trial, accused of crimes against humanity. With his life in the balance, Jack will have to choose between survival and participating in his captors’ lies.

Great story and narration
Reviewed: 09-29-21
Great story that flows well. loaded with technical accuracy, thoughts right out of the heads of service members, and rich with emotions. The self depreciating humor is delivered perfectly by the narrator. I can't wait to start book 2

Not worth the time
Reviewed: 09-28-21
The cliches are beyond absurd, and the story is just bad. The only reason I could give it 2 stars is the fact that the author got MOST of the technical military equipment details right. I finally had enough and couldn't finish this tripe.

Story
While Congress debates the merits of continued funding for the stealth bomber, sinister forces have their own goals in mind. During a training exercise, a B-2 bomber disappears. When search efforts produce no evidence that the bomber crashed, the US Air Force has no choice but to acknowledge that one of its most secret and high-tech aircraft has been hijacked.
Recovery of the B-2 and its crew becomes the president's highest priority, and the Kremlin claims no knowledge of the missing aircraft. Finally, intelligence leads to what at first seems a very unlikely suspect: Cuba.

The narrator is almost painfully slow, which is nothing compared to his laughable accents. These combined to be rather distracting.

Confusion caused by narrators
Reviewed: 08-11-21
The changing of narrators throughout the book is annoying, and can cause confusion. Particularly when changing narrators right in the middle of a chapter.
