Story
In Great Lives: David, the first volume in Charles Swindoll's bestselling Great Lives series, Swindoll gives us a closer look at this incredible man who had his fair share of difficulties. Throughout his life, David was gripped by destructive passion, rocked by family chaos and personal tragedy, and motivated by political expediency. Like all of us, David was far from perfect, but Swindoll teaches us that David had the chance to become great when he placed himself at the Lord's disposal.

If you’ve ever been so pissed off that you did things that you regretted, or ruined your own day and some other people’s, too, this book is for you. Or if you feel angry every single day and it’s affecting your health and sleep and love of life. Or if you have very good reasons to be mad as hell, and you aren’t going to take it anymore. Or if you’ve repressed your anger all your life and now it’s all coming out at once.

Hard to get past the F bombs

Okay- you are right, the title says Unf*ck, and I expected some vulgarity. I was a USMC infantry squad leader- so harsh language isn’t a moral issue here with me. I’ve heard and used that language in the past.
This book is good, could be great if the shoes, fucks, etc could be reduced. It was hard to focus wondering where the next “fuck” was going to be used when it didn’t need to be.
Toward the end the author did scale it back and I felt like I could finally listen
If the author gave a PG version, it would carry more weight
The person reading was incredible.

Not for Courage- for playing the victim
Reviewed: 11-16-20
All right I’ll admit I come from a different fabric, I’m always looking for ways to improve and I thought this would be a good way to have some type of Zen look on how to get some points on courage. I’m a Marine Infantry squad leader and my regret and the reason I returned those was primarily due to the audience and their constant whining about being the victim and that just doesn’t sit well with me. One even was ashamed of her nation and quite frankly listening to this shows me exactly the type of people that would need to listen to this but I’m not that person. So if you’ve always been mistreated and nothings your fault and you need people to feel sorry for you this is a great audio book for you but for me it’s one of the few that I have returned. And nothing against the author I thought she actually did an OK job

I know many people like this book, but I found it 20's radio guyish with little value.
Call money and it will come to you? No thanks, I'll follow a different path.
