Story
The world’s food supply grows aggressively, occupying every inch of earth, no matter how inhospitable. World hunger is averted. Humanity flourishes. RC-714 is digested, absorbed…and passed on. The Change affects small fast-breeding mammals first. They multiply with the same aggressive speed as the ExoGen plants, but an insatiable hunger drives them to violence. A war between species breaks out. When RC-714 reaches humanity, along with every other large creature on the planet, civilization implodes.

Story
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

AWESOME READ!!!
Reviewed: 01-25-23
Finally, a great story with a relatively fast pace and all the missing verbal diarrhea that you usually find in a King novel. Couldn't put it down. Even the ending was relatively satisfying, very unlike his other works. The narrator was also great. There were no off-putting characters or vocalizations, and kept the story moving.

Story
Miah Gray is a 27-year-old former army soldier living in rural New Hampshire with his sister, mother, and her boyfriend. He is plagued by PTSD, finding solace, but not redemption, with the aid of prescribed cannabis. All he wants to do is get high, relax with a good sandwich, and watch a meteor shower with his neighborhood crush, Jen. When the sun's light is blotted out the following morning and the world is plunged into darkness, Miah finds himself locked down with his family, covering windows with trash bags, lighting candles, and following the arcane rules of an ancient prophecy.

Mind Bending Storyline and action
Reviewed: 08-01-21
If you truly want a new take on an old story that is mind-bending, you need to have this book. It will warp your reality. Unbelievable story. This is what storytelling should be like. I now have a new favorite read list in this author's back catalog.
The narrator brings the story to life. I now find myself searching the catalog for titles featuring this narrator.

The queen of this unsavory neighborhood is Black Lena Shanks, whose family leads a ring of female criminals - women skilled in the art of cruelty. Story
It's a summer's evening in Amsterdam, and two couples meet at a fashionable restaurant for dinner. Between mouthfuls of food and over the polite scrapings of cutlery, the conversation remains a gentle hum of polite discourse - the banality of work, the triviality of the holidays. But behind the empty words, terrible things need to be said, and with every forced smile and every new course, the knives are being sharpened. Each couple has a 15-year-old son. The two boys are united by their accountability for a single horrific act; an act that has triggered a police investigation and shattered the comfortable, insulated worlds of their families.

There were no twists, no surprises, no captivating characters, and no phycological thrill or terror. It is simply a boring story being told of how a couple parents covered bad deeds by bad kids. Told blandly..

Story
In the Tall Grass begins with a sister and brother who pull off to the side of the road after hearing a young boy crying for help from beyond the tall grass. Within minutes they are disoriented, in deeper than seems possible, and they've lost one another. The boy's cries are more and more desperate. What follows is a terrifying, entertaining, and masterfully told tale, as only Stephen King and Joe Hill can deliver.

The story is awesome. it grabs you when it starts and holds you. just as the book begins it's build it ends. Fantastic story but it ends as the story begins. I would have expected more from these two powerhouse horror authors. they could have easily produced an incredible novel with this start to a story.

Vic doesn't tell anyone about her unusual ability, because she knows no one will believe her. She has trouble understanding it herself.
