Story
They say to keep your enemies close, but "they" never had to deal with the likes of Alec Daniels, the broody bad boy next door who loved to make my life a living nightmare...up until the day he disappeared. See, Alec was a thief. He stole my happy. My sanity. My first kiss. I told myself I was glad the day he went away, and I'm reminded of why not five minutes after his sudden and unexpected return. Now he stands before me with a heavy glare and hard body. But those greedy green eyes, they're darker than I remember, and brimming with a secret....

The male Narrator was unbearable
Reviewed: 11-27-24
The story is ok, I expected better from the writer, something like ’Say you swear’, but I was disappointed with this one.
The narrator was terrible tho, it was grating on my nerves. He is in the wrong business.

Story
They say a soul mate only comes along once. I believe it, too. I had my chance, but it slipped away. Each day a little more of myself dies, but I pretend I’m fine. That is until I see him - the man who makes me feel alive - Garrick Shaw. Something within me changes. It’s unavoidable and unlike anything I’ve ever known. And it scares me, terrifies me. But there’s another danger lurking around the corner. Someone is conspiring to take it all away. Who are they? What do they want? Why are they after me?

Worst storyline

Poor storyline, character development, and worst dialogue. 8th graders can do better. What a waste of time. I don't recommend!

I couldn't stop listening. The family dynamics were very relatable and heart-wraching Xe’s narration was perfectly suited for this story otherwise sounds similar to every book she narrates.
