I’m almost glad I missed this book the first time around as I thoroughly enjoyed it on audiobook! The narrator’s voice had that gravely quality I love.
The story itself was original and kept me interested and guessing. Over all , another winner for this author!

I admit I’m addicted to Mr. Wheeler’s world and I think this is the last of the series I haven’t read yet. What to do now?? I have to say, however, the ending to this one had me saying no! No! No! Gut punched!😩

I love everything this author does! I’m always disappointed when I finish a series as I don’t want it to end! And Kate Rudd as narrator is top notch!!

I’m a recent convert to this author but so far I’ve loved everything - whether it be contemporary thriller or fantasy. So upset when the book is done and can’t wait to pick up the next!

I really enjoyed this story. It was creative, thought provoking and well written. I would have gotten a 5 ⭐️review except for the ending. I felt like it just stopped. No plot wrap ups. It’s not a cliffhanger as there isn’t a next book. Left me frustrated in that. I do have to recommend it but only be aware of the drop off ending. I can only hope the author might decide to continue and create a series!

Another poignant, beautiful love story! Her books are so much more than just romances. The depth of emotion and lyricism of her writing leaves me sad to leave the story once it’s over every time! Bravo Harper!

The Portal starts with an interesting premise and ends with you wanting more(which is good since it’s a series!)I would put it in a tween category. Characters are like able and the narrator is easy to listen too. I’d recommend for the kids in your life from 9-12.
