Story
Straitlaced Evelyn and reformed bad boy Marco might make an unlikely pair, but the two lovebirds couldn’t be more head over heels for each other. Sure, they’ve had some missed calls along the way, but all that’s in the past. They’ve got their sights set on forever, and the next stop is a walk down the aisle in front of their friends and family. It’s the big day, and everyone’s gathered to watch Marco and Evelyn say "I do". Everyone except Evelyn that is. Is the bride running late or running? The surprising answer might just be in their voicemails.

Story
Hattie Murton never dreamed of TV stardom. A straight-from-a-fairytale encounter with a casting agent somehow landed her a part on what she’d thought would be a one-off pilot for Leicester Square, a bodice-ripping drama adapted from a bestselling romance novel. Buoyed by a surge in demand for romantic dramas, the show instead propelled its core cast to household-name status within a month.

My favorite contemporary romance in ages!!

I loved this book the narration was top notch. Nicola Coughlan is a queen. This book made me laugh out loud and smile and swoon when I was trying to get out of a sad mood after devastating news about a friend/coworker. I will definitely listen again. This book also gave me flashbacks to Bridgerton Season 3s press tour which made me happy as well. Seriously thanks so much to all involved. ❤️

Wanted to like this but...

For starters the narrator sounds a bit like Jennifer Coolidge and once I thought it I couldn't unhear it. The narrator's flow is choppy.
I also feel like the author is seriously anti-religious and as a religious person while I can understand how someone could feel that way such in your face blasting of it took me out of the story and I couldn't enjoy it. I really wanted too because I love fairytale reimaginings. But I don't think this author is for me.
