Story
Marina’s talent for powerful, evocative song lyrics finds a new outlet in her poetry. Each poem resonates with the same creative melodies and emotional depth that have made her an artistic sensation. Hailed by The New York Times for “redefining songs about coming of age, and the aftermath, with bluntness and crafty intelligence,” Marina delves even further into trauma, youth, and the highs and lows of relationships in these profound, autobiographical poems to form a collection that transcends the boundaries of music and literature.

Story
In the world of Warbreaker, each person is born endowed with the power of one Breath―which can be sold and collected by others, then used to Awaken objects and even corpses to do their bidding. A few individuals who die in glory return as gods, with the power of thousands of Breath, but no memory of their mortal lives―and are enthroned in the Court of Gods in Hallandren’s capital. To Vivenna and Siri, princesses of Idris, the abuse of Breath and the claim of the Returned to be gods are repugnant blasphemy.

I saw a lot of recommendations for this online and thought I'd give it a shot. I was alright for me, I wanted to like it more than I did. the middle bit from the time after the market up til they're in the inn was a bit of a slog for me. it wasn't a bad story or anything, super intriguing. Just don't know if the writing style was for me personally.

Comprising only 632 Chinese characters, the Heart Sutra is Buddhism in a nutshell. Despite its brevity, this powerful work covers more of the Buddha's teachings than any other scripture. Its influence is more profound and wide-reaching than any other text in Buddhism.

Thich Nhat Hanh has this really incredible way of making what the Buddha taught very accessible and applicable to our current lives. This is a wonderful, short book on the Heart Sutra and interconnectedness and interbeing.

I'm like halfway through Wheel of Time and needed a break from it, and this series has been recommended several times. I never thought I'd enjoy a heist style novel but wow, was a wrong.
This book was fantastic, I had so much fun listening to this, it was a wild ride full of surprises til the very end. And the Narrator is fantastic(also the narrator of Wheel of Time as well). I've already used my next credit for the second of the series.
