Any additional comments?
I came for the Iron Druid story and it was good until it literally just ended in the middle. It wasn't a stand alone story, it was the first several chapters of the next book. And it's not even like you can avoid reading it because these chapters are critical to the next book. And I couldn't get into the other two stories.

Very nice ending ruined by narration

Would you listen to Revenant again? Why?
No
What didn’t you like about Mia Barron’s performance?
Quenton sounded a bit whiny but the worst was Carlos. It sounded like a computer generated voice, all monotone with no inflection whatsoever. I understand that he is supposed to be a vampire without much emotion, but this went way beyond that. Ruined the book for me.
Any additional comments?
Really good ending to a great series. Just read it rather than listening to it.

Story
Caz Tallis restores rocking horses in her London workshop. When shabby but charismatic Joe and his dog turn up on her roof terrace, she is reluctantly drawn into investigating a rock star's murder from three years before - an unsolved case the police have closed. Which, as her best friend James says, is rather like poking a furnace with a short stick.

Nice mix of mystery and romance

This book is a nice mix of mystery and romance. The main character, Caz, restores rocking horses. One morning she finds a rock star (who the world thought was dead) sleeping on her terrace. He has been accused of murder, and although it was somewhat unbelievable that she would accept him so readily, the book then follows their attempt to find the real killer. The book is well written and the characters, including the secondary characters, are well developed and believable. The narrator is great, able to make each character sound individual. If you are looking for a true murder mystery this isn’t it, there isn’t that much “mystery” to the mystery. The fun part to me was watching Caz discover all the pieces and put them together. But if you are looking for a light, enjoyable book I definitely recommend this. Read her other books too.

Appallingly bad narrator
Reviewed: 06-08-14
Would you try another book from Michael Angel and/or Katrina Carmony?
From Michael Angel yes but only if Katrina Carmony doesn't narrate it.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The pacing was terrible, the characters all sounded the same (with the exception of one character which had an Irish accent, which would have been fine except that she used this accent for the hispanic character, who otherwise didn't have accent); she mispronounced very basic words, sometimes used the wrong words which changed the meaning, and even left words out (I checked with the ebook). Where was the director?
Was Centaur of the Crime worth the listening time?
Absolutely not.
Any additional comments?
What a pity. I've read another book by Michael Angel on my Kindle which I quite liked, but listening to this was excruciating (I'm not exaggerating). Next book of his will be on my Kindle again.
