Felix usually does so much better. Do not recommend.

I don’t enjoy stories of cheaters or unthankful, disloyal people. More sex than a usual F. Francis. Usually I listen over and over to both D and F Francis books but this one I will remove from my library and review so I never accidentally start it again.

Story
When reporter Bert Chekov falls to his death, his colleague James Tyrone is suspicious. Chekov’s column had recently recommended some ‘can’t-lose’ horses, who then wound up out of the running on race day. Tyrone thinks he can prove it was murder, but he may not live to tell the tale. Because as the dead man has already made clear, there’s no such thing as a sure thing...

Not as good as usual

An apology on infidelity took over a lot of the story. Not as good as his other stories.

What? Why?

He keeps doing things that make no sense. Sometimes he even says this action makes no sense and here’s how it is bad for each group involved. So why do it? After the third time I just had to give up.

Only Got 5 Minutes In…
- By Shayla on 04-06-20
Feels like it would be interesting and educational if condensed.
Reviewed: 08-20-21
Unusually repetitive. A few sentences in each paragraph were repeated 2-3 times with a few interesting things in between. The information was good but an editor would have made it great. If you are patient with repetition, you’d probably learn a lot. I wanted to but I couldn’t do it.
