Story
My Big TOE, written by a nuclear physicist in the language of contemporary culture, unifies science and philosophy, physics and metaphysics, mind and matter, purpose and meaning, the normal and the paranormal. The entirety of human experience (mind, body, and spirit) including both our objective and subjective worlds is brought together under one seamless scientific understanding. Section 5 presents the formal reality model in detail while Section 6 provides the wrap-up that puts everything discussed into an easily understood perspective.

The information contained in the book is good but difficult to take in on audio form.
The authors spend way too much time in the beginning quoting what people in the workplace say about others.

Story
Drawing on dozens of intimate audio interviews with families from all across the country, award-winning psychologist and writer Andrew Solomon redefines what it means to be an “ideal family” in America today. Solomon observes that America, led in large part by the women’s, civil rights, and gay rights movements, has undergone a radical social shift in the last few decades. Although the structure of family has changed, economic and legal structures lag behind and need to adapt to accommodate this explosive new reality.

Interesting stories, but strong victim narrative.
Reviewed: 01-01-19
I found the stories the author tells very interesting and enlightening. I'm open-minded to different family configurations and it was nice to hear how people in other types of families also manage to create stable families for their children.
What I found missing is some balance, however. The book doesn't give any of the well-researched data on the positive influence a father will have on the developing child.
If the author quoted some of this data it would enable the adults in such alternative families to take special care to compensate for that and expose their developing children to the necessary influences - and thus become even better parents.
Instead, he pushes the victim (leftist) narrative very hard. For example, if a single woman decides to have multiple children on her own it WILL BE DIFFICULT and has nothing to do with her gender or discrimination. She signed up for that by choice but the author blames it on conservative Christian western society. I would challenge him to try and establish his alternative family in any other, e.g. Arab or African, civilisation and see how far he gets.

Story
Drawing on 75 years of Gallup studies and his own perspective as the company's chairman and CEO, Jim Clifton explains why jobs are the new global currency for leaders. More than peace or money or any other good, the business, government, military, city, and village leaders who can create good jobs will own the future. The problem is that leaders don't know how to create jobs, especially in America. What they should do is recognize that the world is in a war for jobs. It seems that leadership has lost the will to win, especially in America, but this is a competition for our lives.
