A Straight Forward Approach, A Difficult Subject

Some books for me are much better heard than read, this is one of them. As well when you practicing what you hear it is a better listen each time through.

Good Content, not so good narration

The content is good and I get a lot from it. My problem is when the narrator tries to assign gender to a testimonial. When speaking in a female voice, the narrator tries to speak softly and then when speaking as a male, very forceful. It's distracting as it sounds more mocking than informative. They should just continue in their same voice Why imply that because they are female they speak pensive and soft and vice versa as a male (hard and forceful)? The testimonials would carry more weight if the narration was done by person of the gender that the testimonial comes from or just continue in the narrator's voice without the implication of gender. Come on guys it's 2020 we can do better than this. Especially when the title is "Emotional Intelligence 2.0". (This is not the only audio book that is guilty of this, a good amount of them are performed this same way)

Eye opening book!

EQ is an eye opening subject and this book does a wonderful job of doing a deep dive in this life changing subject. Most of us live our day to day lives without realizing that our emotions high jack our rational brain and this keeps us from realizing our full potential. This book gets talks about how we can tap into that potential by staying one step ahead of our emotions.

CRUCIAL READ

Emotional intelligence 2.0 is a *must-read* for anyone who cares to improve self-awareness & self-management, social awareness & social management, and ultimately human relationship management. The tools in this book, if effectively practiced, will open lanes of communication that seemed jammed with heavy traffic, and transform them into five-lane super freeways.
