Story
I’m wealthy, powerful, and able to get any woman I want. So why do I feel so empty inside? In search of a deeper me, I take a sabbatical from my privileged life. One year of backpacking around Europe: a new identity, no contacts, and no money. Not a bad plan, I think. Until I get there. A crowded hostel room, body odor, and beer bongs—there are no words for the fresh hell I’ve landed in. But amid the chaos, I meet my new roommate, Hayden Whitmore. She sleeps in the bed opposite me, and I openly admit to staring at her more than I sleep.

This is a great book/listen. There were surprises along the way that kept me listening and from getting bored, a few little twists I didn't see coming so that's always fun. And, the narration was just terrific. Enjoyed so much.

Story
When workaholic Boston attorney Deirdra de Messiéres is passed over for a well-deserved promotion, she takes a two-month hiatus to show her boss just how much he needs her and heads home to Silver Island. But beyond seeing her sisters happy, home is not where Deirdra’s heart is. She has no interest in their family restaurant, the Bistro, or reliving hurtful childhood memories, and absolutely no interest in spending a single second with Josiah “Jagger” Jones, the Bistro’s too-laid-back musician and chef. Sure, the hippie is hot, but he drives her nuts.

But even a great hitter strikes out every now and again. This book is a snore-fest. She's an up-tight lawyer on a sabbatical and he's a "hippie". The "hippie" has a bother who is autistic, and the book seemed to be more of a lecture and enlightenment on autism than on the 2 main characters. I would pass on this one. Just my opinion.

I'm just agreeing with what others have said. Good story. Lisa Renee Jones is one of the best storytellers and Jason Clarke is great but Stephanie Wyles sounded like a 14 year old girl so I stopped listening and finished reading the book. Narrators matter HUGELY.

Every bartender should follow one simple rule—don't go home with the customers. That’s been easy for me to stick to, until the night a cocky, confident, and sinfully charming hockey star walks into my bar. This sexy athlete is too hard to resist, especially when he makes it clear how much he wants the “sarcastic, witty, hot AF” guy behind the bar—also known as me.

It was a leap of faith
Reviewed: 10-12-20
I wasn't sure if I would actually enjoy a MM romance but I really did. The narrators were fantastic and I loved the fact that the book was written as if gay romances/relationships are widely accepted and supported so we didn't have to deal with any of that. Once again, I read the reviews and it was a leap of faith for me to get the book and I highly recommend it to others.

Story
Flint Hopkins finds the perfect tenant to rent the space above his Minneapolis-based law office. All the t's are crossed and i's dotted on Ellen's application. Her references are good. And she's easy on the eyes. Until... Flint discovers Ellen Rodgers plays music. Bongos, guitars, singing - not Beethoven administered through noise-cancelling headphones. The cut-throat attorney serves up an eviction notice to the bubbly, constantly humming redhead who's too sexy for her own good. But luck is on Ellen's side when Flint's autistic son, Harrison, takes an instant liking to her.

This is, indeed, a great book...

This may be the first book I have listened to by Jewel E. Ann but it will NOT be the last. The story was great, kept me guessing what was going to happen, and I loved the feisty female lead who went for what she wanted. I knew that Troy Duran would be a great narrator (he always is), but this may be my first listen to Stephanie Rose and she did a great job.
Do yourself a favor and get this book and sit back and enjoy it.

Story
Jack Sutton was the man I didn’t want to need. His know-it-all attitude. His annoying suggestions. His outlook on life. He was determined to help me while I had resolved to figure it out on my own. But he taught me things I’d forgotten. How to trust. How to believe in myself. Who I was. The problem? I went and fell in love with him.

So, at the end of the book K. Bromberg said she struggled with this book, to find her creativity. I just want to say thank you for writing this book. It's a great love story, simple but rock solid. I love strong female characters. I compare all of Ms. Bromberg's book to her Drive series and, I mean this as the best compliment ever, but nothing compares to that series. The narrators of this book were GREAT. I'm not sure if I've ever listened to Brian Pallino before but I have added him to my "preferred" list. Sometimes, as I'm listening to a book I'm following along in my Kindle and I would have really miss some emphasis if it were not for the narrators. Great job. Worth a credit? Absolutely.

Sometimes you meet people who are out of this world, so you make them a part of yours. A one-night stand born from vengeance in a foreign land. An explosive chemistry neither of us could deny. We signed a contract on the back of a Boar’s Head Pub napkin that said if we ever met again, we would drop everything and be together. Eight years and thousands of miles later, he’s here. What I loved about this book was first, the story and the fact that the woman in it was strong and real and didn't "need" to be a damsel in distress and have a man fix everything. The second thing that I loved was the humor. I love driving down the road listening to a good book with a smile on my face! Thirdly, Andi Arndt & Jacob Morgan were just terrific. All around this was a really good book and I highly recommend it.
