Story
Aria and her sisters return to the Human Realm of Haven Falls to find one of their own that’s gone missing. They soon discover things have changed in the Human Realm and that nothing is what it seems, including Knox, the egotistical, self-centered, frustratingly gorgeous man who declared himself King during their absence. Sparks fly when the two enter a fiery battle of wills as Aria learns she is more than just a witch in the Hecate bloodline; she is much, much, more.

Fast moving and spicy

Fast paced, spicy and full of surprises. Aria is the ULTIMATE bada$$ main character and Knox is the perfect equally hot enemy.

Story
Summer, 1989. It is a time for splashing in the lake and exploring the wilderness, for nine teenagers to bond together and create friendships that could last the rest of their lives. But among this group there is a young man with a secret—a secret that, in this time and place, is unthinkable to his peers. When the others discover the truth, it will change each of them forever. They will all have blood on their hands. Odd Man Out is a heart-wrenching tale of bullies and bigotry, a story that explores what happens when good people don't stand up for what's right.

Can’t take the dramatics any more
Reviewed: 01-24-23
Has the audio been this insanely over dramatic the entire series and I just didn’t notice? Had to speed way up just to get through it.
As far as the story it’s been on a downward trajectory since book 4 and this may be rock bottom. I just can’t anymore. Made worse by how much I loved the first three books but at this point Brexley is a massive drama queen who might be a badass fighter but is SO stupid and naive, and it’s just made way worse by her gang of friends and lover who are supposed to all be BA in their own right, just to go along with all her stupid, never actually doing the strategic things that you should expect from experienced rulers/pirates/fighters. I can think of one or time her Ash tries to talk sense into her but shocker she just plows ahead and he follows.
Oh and haven’t we had enough of bombs as a plot device when our fearless gang can’t otherwise get out of a situation?

I forgot how much I disliked the narration
Reviewed: 10-02-22
The story is compelling but I can’t stomach the narration for one more book. If this was a Jane Austen book it would be perfect, but for the sake of not being horribly rude I’ll just say this narration is not for me. Hard pass on the audio but I love the series.

Story
The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave. He's always there, watching and waiting. And I can never look away. Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow. I didn't mean to fall in love. But now that I have, I can't stay away. I'm mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves. I'll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine. And once she is, I'll never let her go.

A heavy story but well written. I had to take breaks though because some of the topics are intense.
