Story
In this classic fantasy novel from author Michael Ende, small and insignificant Bastian Balthazar Bux is nobody's idea of a hero, least of all his own. Then, through the pages of an ancient, mysterious book, he discovers the enchanted world of Fantastica, and only Bastian himself can save the fairy people who live there. Shy, awkward Bastian is amazed to discover that he has become a character in the mysterious book he is reading and that he has an important mission to fulfill.

I enjoyed every minute. I was tripped up at the beginning since I was first introduced via the movie and Fantastica vice Fantasia was a jump. Highly reccommend to anyone of any age.

This series is one of my favorites, this is one of my favorites in the series. Zed's voice seemed too old for me, but voice acting was wonderful regardless.

good but not great
Reviewed: 09-25-20
it took a long time to get into it i felt. good characters, but not a whole lot of development outside the main character. Didnt feel like the book was finished when it ended because the plot that finished with it was introduced too far into the story. I am planning on reading further into the series so it wasnt terrible and put me off, just weird enough that it was frustrating at times.
