Story
More than 40 years ago Charles Manson and his mostly female commune killed nine people, among them the pregnant actress Sharon Tate. It was the culmination of a criminal career that author Jeff Guinn traces back to Manson’s childhood. Guinn interviewed Manson’s sister and cousin, neither of whom had ever previously cooperated with an author. Childhood friends, cellmates, and even some members of the Manson family have provided new information about Manson’s life. Guinn has made discoveries about the night of the Tate murders, answering unresolved questions.

Absolutely an amazing historical true crime novel in years! Mr. Steve Hodell is so thorough detective, such detail, even opening up so much about his family, and himself. Such an amazing look into both the black dahlia case which I do believe Mr Hodell has solved, and to the history of Los Angeles and lapd. Just loved this book.
I truly wish Mr. Hodell would delve into Chief Parker and more of the history of lapd back then, no one seems to want to look into the 1930s & 1940s Los Angeles and lapd I don’t know why as that would be also a fascinating read. Overall I loved this book and his detailed investigation.

Story
From Charlaine Harris, the best-selling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale - populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that's how the locals prefer it. Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It' s a pretty standard dried-up western town.

Story
The tragic story of Susan Powell and her murdered boys, Charlie and Braden, is the only case that rivals the Jon Benet Ramsey saga in the annals of true crime. When the pretty, blonde Utah mother went missing in December of 2009 the media was swept up in the story - with lenses and microphones trained on Susan's husband, Josh. He said he had no idea what happened to his young wife, and that he and the boys had been camping in the middle of a snowstorm.
