Story
After the discovery of her magical abilities leads to her execution being ordered, Yelena has no choice but to flee to Sitia, her long-lost birthplace. There, she has the chance to meet the family she never knew. But Sitia is unfamiliar, and she’s treated with suspicion and even hatred by the people she thought she could trust—including her own brother. Then Yelena is given the chance to travel to Sitia’s capital. In the Citadel, she’ll have the chance to hone her magical abilities under the tutelage of master magicians.

Give us back the original narrator!

It’s strange how my old version disappeared from my library. Having reread it multiple times as a fan, I bought the new version. It’s not the same. What a disappointment and an unfair trick to those that paid for the original! That should still be in my library.

Story
With the legends and lore of Ireland running through his blood, falconer Connor O’Dwyer is proud to call County Mayo home. It’s where his sister, Branna, lives and works, where his cousin, Iona, has found true love, and where his childhood friends form a circle that can’t be broken. A circle that is about to be stretched out of shape - by a long-awaited kiss. Meara Quinn is Branna’s best friend, a sister in all but blood. Her and Connor’s paths cross almost daily, as Connor takes tourists on hawk walks and Meara guides them on horseback across the lush countryside.

the Narrator ruined it!

I love Nora Roberts' trilogies and stories- I waited until all three were out so I could breeze through them. I prefer audio books, a good narrator enriches most books. I grade so many papers that reading time is limited.
Alan Smyth killed this one. I quit after several chapters and borrowed my mother's books. His pace is frustratingly slow, his voices were out of character, and he misread many of the emotions. Yuck. Never will I buy one of his narrations again.
