Story
Running and hiding is looked upon as a way out for the weak. It is something Omar never thought he would do. As a child, he didn't even play hide-and-seek for that very reason. Unfortunately, after being sentenced to death by his cousin, Demarcus, Omar was left with no choice. Moving to Detroit wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. It didn't take long for him to reign supreme. The change of location didn't change his conniving and coldhearted ways, however.

I really wanted to get into part 2 of Dog Food but i just cannot sit and listen to this lady voice. She doesn’t get into character and in between the loud gulps and sounds like she’s holding salvia in her mouth, i just cannot take it. Ughhhh y didn’t y’all keep Nicole Small on the read. She’s the absolute best, along with Cary Hite and my girl Iikane 🙌🏾

Story
Born to the game, the younger Santanas found themselves forced to fill their mothers’ shoes after the two sisters were indicted by the feds. Instead of sticking to the blueprints they inherited, they deviated far from the script. The money, power, and respect shot straight to their heads, and they used their status as a weapon. Now, their deadly display of violence and bloodshed has drawn heavy attention and heat to the family name.

This narrator is by far the WORST I’ve heard. She sounds like she just have so much saliva sitting in her mouth, it’s ridiculous. Then there is 53 chapters of hearing her swallowing, mispronouncing words, etc. Just ughhhh. I’m sure the story is good but this narrator is trash. I skipped through the story just so i can leave a review

Story
Born and raised on the violent streets of Chicago, Ja'ziya and her three besties, Tiki, ReRe, and Dirty E, are all determined to do three things: finish school, get money, and live comfortably. Ja'ziya and her crew aren't your average hood rats that wanna date and marry a D-Boy. Adapting to some of the bad habits from the streets, plus some help from an unknown source, they get money their own way...the ski-mask way! Robbing drug dealers is like taking candy from a baby. That was, until they robbed the wrong person.

Story
Nearly every two minutes in America someone is sexually assaulted. Olivia Collins, an urban author residing in the heart of the hood, knows this better than anyone. Working hard to repress her own issues, Olivia encounters Noah, an underprivileged foster kid who views himself as a number, a statistic. Most definitely enjoyed the story. Didn’t like the in-depth of the sexual abuse , but i definitely get the plot. Sad but true that sexual abuse happens so much to children in DFCS custody. Children are abused if not by the adult, by 1 of the older children of the person who is labeled the ‘caretaker’. Really wish a law would be put into place that a child placed into anyones custody adhere to a physical every 3 months to ensure they aren’t being sexually abused. So sad that Noah went through the devastation he went through.

Young Ricky Alleyn has come to the picturesque fishing village of Deep Cove to write. Though the sleepy little town offers few diversions, Ricky manages to find the most distracting one of all: murder. For in a muddy ditch, he sees a dead equestrienne whose last leap was anything but an accident. And when Ricky himself disappears, the case becomes a horse of a different color for his father, Inspector Roderick Alleyn.

Story
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Maybe if Nicole Smalls or even Michi LaChapelle read it, i would get through the whole book. But 2 hours is enough wasted time
