Who knew history could be fun? This book introduces the rich history of three powerful American states, and how they progressed to this point. The in-depth research involved in this book is quite evident, especially in the various fun facts about these states. Even those that are natives of these lands would have a thing or two to learn about the great Texas, New York and California. Nicely researched, organized and delivered.

I received a free copy of this book from the author, and I have left this unbiased review in return.

This true crime book is about as good as they get! The author has carefully selected some of the most impacting crime stories (homicides) from the past year, and has mixed it up into something of an art. The narrator also deserves some kudos for a clear and suspenseful narration. A great way to summarize some of the craziness we left behind.
Excellent work.

I got this book for free upon my request from the author. This review is just an expression of my thoughts on the book.

Listening to the various stories in this audiobook was fun and it significantly improved my German. Listening to a native speaker narrate the tales makes it more interesting and educative. Now I know the words I've been pronouncing wrong.
The stories are first presented in German, and then in English. This really helps to follow the stories well, and some difficult words/phrases are discussed in the summary.
The most significant trick to maximizing this book is to be honest in the learning process. Listen carefully to the stories, and identify unfamiliar words. When the English translation and the summaries come up, the explanation would be clear and learning would have occurred.
Also, the attached PDf is a useful resource.

Learning Italian was one of my goals for this year, and for the early part it didn't seem like It was going to happen. I recently got this audio book, and I am confident of achieving this goal now. This book introduces many common words in a typical conversation in Italian, and it has broadened my vocabulary and comfort with using these words in the right context. This is indeed a great way to speed up the learning process.

This book is great! I love history and random facts, and this book has provided me with a rich content on both fronts. The narration is well-paced and nice. I love it, and totally recommend this book for everyone looking to get some fun 'insider info.' about The Buckeye state.
