Story
She hates her office coworker—but that’s no surprise. Not when Pye’s tattoos and easy-going attitude clash with her pencil skirts and rigid expectations. Those strict rules help her maintain her workplace appearance so no one catches onto the truth of what she is.... A succubus, secretly scheduling the feedings she needs to survive. Imagine her shock to find Pye on her doorstep offering their services.

I get the vision. Feed was my first soiree into monster romance and a now considering my training wheels are completely off and I'm here for the flying sex 😆 Anywhodles, these two bring out the hidden pieces of each other. For Avrin she hates it, but Pye on the other hand is down for whatever. I thought the narrator captured Avrin's control really well but missed Pye's slick mouth. Either way, the setup for what's to come is chef's kiss.

The major takeaway is that I have been dating haphazardly and not attuned to my desires. Since there are tons of reflection questions which I love I think it'll help set me up for success in the future.

Emery Thompson hates Calvin Chamberlain. From the way he acts like he’s better than everyone to the way he moves through the world thinking his podcast is the cream of the crop, every little thing about the man gets to him. Even that dashing, oh-so-confident smile. He’d rather be caught dead than be around the man any longer than necessary—or admit that last part out loud.

These two rival podcasters have to work together to fulfill a dying wish of a listener. Their styles are different and they actually don't like each other so this should be fun. We listen to find out about their shows true crime, history vs pop culture. It was interesting the different approaches but I wished there was more of the development of their relationship.

Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

This was really a cute contemporary fiction. I'm not sure why it took me so long to read it but I'm so happy I did.
Gracie, Sam, and Fongli were such tender with each other and separately. I wasn't expecting the discussion on sexual harassment and microagressions of Asian people but i think it added to the unfolding of the plot. I also thought the conversation about mental health and medication still being wrapped in guilt and shame was really smart. What a sweet book. everything wrapped up so nicely.

This novella was an absolute treat. Zeus helps Janelle and Andre through their respective breakups and of course they both get a HEA. I thought it was interesting how Weatherspoon connected so many themes related to mental health (depression or depressive mood, work burnout, dating anxiety) without it reading like an insert issue here. We also love a Big Nasty description because I have an idea what Andre looks like 🤭 Highly recommend

Mara was annoying and I would have to change POVs bc you know she was annoying. Also how freaking big, broad, and brooding is Liam? From the repetitive description he's big real big 🤭
Like Love Hypothesis you gotta wait until the end for sexy time, chapter 13 to be specific. Hard and fast 👀 it wasn't but it's literally one sex scene and home girl is in love. Is that how it works now? Anyway it was cute and I think worked as novella.

My name is Eddie Rosas, but everyone calls me Trouble. Since I got out of prison six months ago, I've had one goal: find my father, whatever the cost. My older brother says I need to move on. He also wants me to leave our gang, East Side Hollenbeck, and go straight, but I can't - not until I uncover the truth about our family and its missing piece.

Eddie aka Trouble is definitely not Sal and gets into a lot more well trouble once he's out. We get some answers with their dad but it seemed easy/convenient. Idk still great seeing a redemption story.

Story
My name is Salvador Rosas. Back in the barrio, my past is written on the walls: ESHB. Short for East Side Hollenbeck, my father's gang - my gang. Hell, it's a family tradition, one that sent both my brothers away. They used to call me "Ghost" because I haunted people's dreams. Now I've got nothing going for me except a hipster gringo mentoring me in a new career. An ex-con making craft beer? No mames. Still, people in this neighborhood look out for one another.

I couldn't sleep and started this book. It was a very good insomniac decision. I love Sal and I love his story. Hopkins handled the PTSD of gang relations and imprisonment with such care and consideration. While I thought I wasn't going to enjoy being in Sal's head it really brought to light the helpless that occurs when you don't think you have options. I loved this book so much.

When Murderbot discovers a dead body on Preservation Station, it knows it is going to have to assist station security to determine who the body is (was), how they were killed (that should be relatively straightforward, at least), and why (because apparently that matters to a lot of people - who knew?). Yes, the unthinkable is about to happen: Murderbot must voluntarily speak to humans! Again!
