Story
I know I can be a grumpy bastard, and I’m not the easiest man to deal with, but you’d think my best friend would trust me. We don’t keep secrets, even about our love lives. That’s what I thought until I found out Dean was seeing someone. I don’t like it...don’t ask me why. But there’s more to the story than I thought, and now I have to deal with feelings I didn’t even know were possible for me.

A+ performances making a subpar story actually good

I needed something to pull me out of my 90 hour plus fantasy book so of course I’d chose a crappy romance novel. They’re a guilty pleasure usually crappy writing and awful stories.
I want to lead with the fact that the writing is amazing considering it’s a romance novel. Change the audience and this could be a bomb tv or movie series. However I rate it so low story wise because the premise is pure utter fantasy. The straight guy you’ve crushed on suddenly realizing he’s not gay, but madly in love with his best friend. Mind you it’s in the title so I wasn’t shocked but it got to cheesy sometimes, but had a healthy balance of romance and fluff that helped cut that suspension of disbelief for me that I still enjoyed it and will read the other books.
Now saving the best for last. Michael Ferraiuolo is by far the best narrator I’ve ever heard in terms of character voices. Most voice actors have some over lap between characters no matter how long or in depth the book can be. I never questioned which character was talking and the emotions he portrayed had me believing I was listening to multiple actors! Gold star and A+++

Story
Colin: My life is pretty quiet, and I prefer it that way. I do my schoolwork, I have what some would call a nerdy hobby, and I have my, um...toys. Tutoring pays the bills, and when I’m asked to help the star football player fix his grades, it’s just another job, right? Then I find out he’s a dragon-shifter who likes to party rather than study. God, I wonder if the stories about dragon-shifter anatomy are true? Not that I’m likely to find out, since he’s clearly straight!

Silly cute and mildly erotic

I found this by accident via a Facebook add and had to see more as to why there was a dragon behind the football stud. I like ready and finding fanfics that involves shifters so I was delighted to stumble into a literary world that was brand new to me. The characters are very well written and believable. I honestly think I went to school with a Colin and a Pierce.
The narration wasn’t something I’d rant and rave over in terms of character voices, but his vocal tone was spot on and made up for it tenfold.
My favorite part, and possibly the reason for any negative reviews was the erotic moments. They managed to be incredibly hot and steamy while also sounding purely laughable. And Iggy’s narration made it all the better. I can’t say I’ve ever cried laughing while also being rock hard at the same time!
All in all, well worth the read, and I’m excited to read more into the worlds that Noah has created.

Fantastic

My only qualm with this series is that there isn’t another book to finish wrapping things up. I read them the first time in paperback and remember crying during certain moments, and Lister’s performance and Matharu’s story had me crying all over again, the hardships, the losses, the joys, all of it! I’d love nothing more then to continue on Fletcher’s journey, his relationship with his friends and family and how it all comes together.
