Story
When Keira O'Malley was a child, she used to picture her perfect wedding. The flowers. The dress. Her husband. But nothing could have prepared her for saying "I do" to Dmitri Romanov - cold, domineering, and always one step ahead of everyone else in the ever-shifting power plays of New York City. She agreed to his bargain to secure peace for her family, and she may want the bastard more than she'd ever admit, but she'll be damned if she'll make this marriage easy for him.

I have zero regrets. I want a Dimitri.
Strong Alpha with a strong heroine, which is often not the case.
Well written, solid world building, overall excellently done.

Story
While Eve examines a fresh body in Washington Square Park, her husband, Roarke, spots a man among the onlookers he’s known since his younger days on the streets of Dublin. A man who claims to be his half brother. A man who kills for a living - and who burns with hatred for him. Eve is quick to suspect that the victim’s spouse - resentful over his wife’s affair and poised to inherit her fortune - would have happily paid an assassin to do his dirty work. Roarke is just as quick to warn her that if Lorcan Cobbe is the hitman, she needs to be careful.

suggested as a commuting aid

I had a 2hr each way commute. this was years ago when we started a library swap at Serco.
sudden the commute from hell was not long enough.. I got all my fam/friends hooked.
author can visual invoke from her artistic syntaxes. some times its a painful part of the character building but you still get sucked into everyone's lovely dysfunction, triggers and pain.
So glad this author publishes about 1 + books a year. I wish I could mark this and my Guild Hunter books were automatically pre-ordered.
I regret nothing with these to series.

I love this series. Tough tortured heroine grows up to be homicide cop, alpha billionaire love interest, with solid characters, sub plots and great world building. I look forward to each new book, and enjoy listening again & again.
