Story
When Emira is apprehended at a supermarket for ‘kidnapping’ the white child she’s actually babysitting, it sets off an explosive chain of events. Her employer Alix, a feminist blogger with the best of intentions, resolves to make things right. But Emira herself is aimless, broke and wary of Alix’s desire to help. When a surprising connection emerges between the two women, it sends them on a crash course that will upend everything they think they know – about themselves, each other and the messy dynamics of privilege.

Great narrator!

The narrator definitely made the story come to life, she added the emotion, the drama, and the humour that the story called for. Would recommend!

In Girl, Stop Apologizing, number-one New York Times best-selling author and founder of a multimillion-dollar media company, Rachel Hollis sounds a wake-up call. She knows that many women have been taught to define themselves in light of other people - whether as wife, mother, daughter, or employee....

Engaging!

You can tell that the author is passionate about this subject. She reads lively, and although I feel like this book could be targeted at a wider audience (not just girls or women), I think many girls and women can relate well to her. She speaks her truth with a great dosis of humor. It's motivational, and heck, the best quality an audiobook can have: it's a good listen.
