Story
Willy Wonka's famous chocolate factory is opening at last! But only five lucky children will be allowed inside. And the winners are: Augustus Gloop, an enormously fat boy whose hobby is eating; Veruca Salt, a spoiled-rotten brat whose parents are wrapped around her little finger; Violet Beauregarde, a dim-witted gum-chewer with the fastest jaws around; Mike Teavee, a toy pistol-toting gangster-in-training who is obsessed with television; and Charlie Bucket, our hero, a boy who is honest and kind, brave and true, and good and ready for the wildest time of his life!

Story
What does it mean to be a woman? The current cultural ideal for womanhood encourages women to be strident, sexual, self-centered, independent - and, above all, powerful and in control. But sadly this model of womanhood hasn't delivered the happiness and fulfillment it promised. The Bible teaches that it's not up to us to decide what womanhood is all about. God created males and females for a very specific purpose. His design isn't arbitrary or unimportant. It is very intentional and he wants women to discover, embrace, and delight in the beauty of his design.

Never have I felt so devalued as a women.

This book is not about True Womanhood. This book is about patriarchy. I could not even finish the book because there was sooo little talk about womanhood as it was primarily focused on out relationship to men. If ever I want the world to put me into a very tiny box, this will be the book I start with.

Could not stop reading (well.... listening)!

I can appreciate a good “You Can Do It!” book. I can see their value & sometimes they just over write the negative narrative you have written for yourself. But this book.... Heeeeyyyyyllllllooooowwwwww freedom! I HAVE lied to myself. I HAVE allowed others lies to write my story. This book reaffirmed so much of the passion & desires I’ve held deep inside my body & catapulted me into setting them on fire. I don’t have to have all the answers. It will be messy and uncomfortable and weird. But it will all be worth it.
