"The book has liveliness and felicity, tenderness and unexpectedness, grace and humor and praise of life...that only the most highly imaginative stories seem to grow." (Eudora Welty, The New York Times Book Review)
"White simply shares his story so intimately that adult listeners notice every nuance...For children the story of Wilbur and Charlotte will be sheer delight...White's story still has the power to mesmerize and teach us great lessons of friendship and life." (AudioFile)

E.B.White has a perfect voice for the story. If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
:-) Pork the new white meat.Any additional comments?
The performance of the audio books is atrocious! I have no idea why they removed the fast forward/backward and skip features on Audible. This makes replaying or skipping impossible. It's very frustrating! What the heck is wrong with Audible?

Radiant, Terrific and HumbleWhat did you like best about this story?
E.B. White's reading was perfect for my third grader to read along. Listening and reading allowed her to discover precious gems on her own within the dialogue. One favorite example is when Templeton says " I am a glutton but not a merrymaker." Comprehension becomes a delight when it is discovered, rather than a tested task. This particular presentation accomplishes this beautifully.Have you listened to any of E.B. White and George Plimpton ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
