Any additional comments?

The performance of the audio books is atrocious! I have no idea why they removed the fast forward/backward and skip features on Audible. This makes replaying or skipping impossible. It's very frustrating!

I was captivated by this book from the beginning, the language is beautiful and the author, E.B. White, does a wonderful job narrating. I usually don't like books read by the author, but White brings his characters to life!

I read this book with my 4th grade class. We loved hearing the story of Wilbur and his friends. Although the book is about animals, it allowed us to talk in class about how all people are unique and different.

Such a great book!

There are no false pretense or pomposity to this novel, it is a simple story of friendship, fidelity, love and fear. Wilbur the pig is befriended by Fern, an 8 year old girl. Wilbur is sold and befriended by Charlotte, a spider. Charlotte is befriended by Wilbur, who dies.... but her legacy lives on. Tenderly told by the author, E.B. White.

Enjoyable and real

If you could sum up Charlotte's Web in three words, what would they be?

Radiant, Terrific and Humble

What did you like best about this story?

E.B. White's reading was perfect for my third grader to read along. Listening and reading allowed her to discover precious gems on her own within the dialogue. One favorite example is when Templeton says " I am a glutton but not a merrymaker." Comprehension becomes a delight when it is discovered, rather than a tested task. This particular presentation accomplishes this beautifully.

Have you listened to any of E.B. White and George Plimpton ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

N/A

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

Loved this recording.

I loved listening to this story - probably more than my children. While they would say they preferred watching the movie, the silence in the van as we listened was something unusual. I have a 6 year old, 4 year old, 2 year old and 3 month old. It felt like we were listening to a grandpa read an amazing story. I loved hearing E.B. White read this and preserve his legacy as a one of a kind children’s author.

Beautiful story

This is one book I never read when in school. This is a beautiful story of friendship, supporting and working with others. The narrator’s tone, pitch is perfect- not too fast nor not too slow. I love all of the characters-barn animals that is. That’s some pig.
