Story
It takes a certain kind of person to do whatever is necessary to make a living as a mixed martial arts fighter. And it takes another kind of person to stand out from all the rest as both a wild man and a rock star. Chris Leben, otherwise known as "The Crippler", is that kind of person. Leben's reputation started when he appeared on the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter, a reality show and competition where hopeful fighters live together and vie for a UFC contract and a path to greatness.

I was a fan of Leban early in his career.
Before he threw away what talent he had...
This book is a typical whiny blame everyone else for my problems junky memoir...
The book is him bragging like a high school kid about how wasted he was.
To constantly blaming everyone and everything but himself for his inability to get his life together...
This book is garbage don't waste any money or time on it....
I finished it hoping at some point he'd take personal responsibility for his actions.
What a waste....

America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse in the near future. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city.

Great listen! One of my favorites.

Have have read and listened to this book so many times over the past several years..
I have to say it's one of my personal favorites.
If you are interested in preparedness it is a fantastic book...
It's not one of those where the protagonist has a bottomless weightless backpack of unending gear..
This is about like minded people working together and preparing for hard times to come...
I love it.

It's like the author has never read any of the other books.

I am a huge fan of the series and I was very excited for the book in the series..
But after starting it I was confused and let down...
Many characters are totally different than the last book..
Then many antagonist that were killed off books ago have returned....
Then just random plot lines and interactions are redone from the past books.
It just makes no sense....
Then Mel now out of nowhere is full of blood lust and completely different....
It is just so frustrating and annoying as a fan.

The story is interesting but the narrator is horrible. It really just took me out of the story and annoyed me to say the least.
