A great experience from start to finish

I loved loved loved this experience!
I was interested in the story from the beginning knowing how important the USA Women Basketball team was to us as U.S citizens. But to know what Teresa went through and how she overcame and responded was a display of resilience we could all learn from. I highly recommend this audible to anyone who’s a fan of basketball and stories of black greatness. Thank you Teresa 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

Story
James Baldwin’s stunning first novel is now an American classic. With startling realism that brings Harlem and the black experience vividly to life, this is a work that touches the heart with emotion while it stimulates the mind with its narrative style, symbolism, and excoriating vision of racism in America. Moving through time from the rural South to the northern ghetto, Baldwin chronicles a 14-year-old boy’s discovery of the terms of his identity as the stepson of the minister of a storefront Pentecostal church in Harlem one Saturday in March of 1935.

Truth that needs to be told’

I liked the depth of each character and how their stories were introduced. The way the story was told was compelling, detailed, and sincere without apology.
I will continue to digest more and more books from James Baldwin. I Love his work!
