Leaving Toxicity and growth finally happen
Reviewed: 02-21-25
This series has been such a love hate relationship for me. I have loved and hated both Hardin and Tessa with their toxic ways but it finally gives them a chance to grow with and without each other to the almost fairytale ending that we needed.

Story
When she lost her mother to cancer, everything changed for Jennifer Love Hewitt. In Inheriting Magic, she recounts her journey, sharing memories, photographs, recipes, and the magic-making ethos of a self-proclaimed “Holiday Junkie.” Inheriting Magic is about how grief, being a mom of three, having a deep love for party planning, and being passionate about the holidays turned what could have been an ordinary life into something enchanting. Through it, Jennifer inspires all listeners to add more love, light, and the making of core memories into their everyday lives.

Jennifer Love Hewitt is marvelously magical
Reviewed: 12-28-24
She manages to make even the smallest details that most people would take for granted and makes it magical and that’s amazing to me. She may be a celebrity but she is also an everyday mom who works, cooks and cleans and makes everyday occurrences a little extra special. Yes she is definitely the “Holiday Junkie” but she also gives great mostly simple ideas to make things more exciting and special. The story is from the heart and her emotions while reading feels like you are having a workshop with her in the room while also talking to your best friend. The only downside is that there are recipes and written ideas that are not included in the Audible. I have followed her singing and acting career from when she was a kid on “Kids Incorporated” to her most recent show. Her smile and personality are infectious and I’m glad I gave this a chance. I would definitely recommend to any mom just trying to make it while still giving those magical moments to their kids.

Story
I can’t remember anymore if my grandfather’s eyes were blue or green, but I’ll never forget the way they wrinkled at the corners when he laughed at one of his own jokes. Or the way they sparkled with mischief when he told me tales about the magical creatures that dwelled in the forest behind his humble Irish sheep farm. As a child, I believed every fantastical word. But when he warned me about the mute boy who also lurked in those woods, the one the priest had declared to be the spawn of Satan himself, I refused to listen.

The soothing yet sexy voice of Kellen and the playful and determined voice of Darby is what keeps this story going.

Story
With the majority of mompreneurs failing to make their home-based businesses work, we need a new blueprint to model. We need to know how the successful mamas are making it happen, without sacrificing their marriage or their role as mom. I have been able to “have it all”, but not by maintaining the elusive balance that is about as real as moms sleeping in on weekends.

Reads like a conversation

After just finishing a master class with her I needed to hear this book. It’s like having a mini coaching session with just the two of you. That being said her narration could be a little better. Some sentences sounded run- on and some names were mumbled which is funny because she really is an empowering woman who speaks quite well during her coaching sessions. This is good for anyone who wants to feel empowered and wants to know the truth on how to get your business going. I do recommend keeping a pen and paper or something to jot down some notes and recommendations that she mentioned.
