Publisher's summary

From the Wall Street Journal best-selling author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men (inspiration for the Netflix Original series Sex/Life) comes a dark Mafia romance steeped in Irish folklore.

I can’t remember anymore if my grandfather’s eyes were blue or green, but I’ll never forget the way they wrinkled at the corners when he laughed at one of his own jokes. Or the way they sparkled with mischief when he told me tales about the magical creatures that dwelled in the forest behind his humble Irish sheep farm—shy fairies who liked to eat tea biscuits, cruel witches who liked to eat children, a moody lake spirit with a taste for expensive gifts.

As a child, I believed every fantastical word. But when he warned me about the mute boy who also lurked in those woods, the one the priest had declared to be the spawn of Satan himself, I refused to listen. Kellen wasn’t evil. He was kind, and beautiful, and special, and hurting. He was my friend. And with every summer I spent stolen away with him in those enchanted woods, he grew to become so much more.

But when I return to Glenshire as an adult, grieving and engaged to someone else, all those legends quickly morph into nightmares.

My grandfather had been right about everything, especially the boy.

If only I had listened.

Devil of Dublin is intended for mature audiences who enjoy dark subject matter, tortured antiheroes, explicit adult content, graphic violence, heart-pounding suspense, fairy-tale-worthy love, and gorgeous Irish scenery. If that sounds like you, then welcome to Glenshire!

A beautifully and vividly written dark romance.

A beautifully and vividly written dark romance. This one grabs your heart in a chokehold and doesn’t let go even to the very last page, no matter how you struggle. I give it all the stars. The darkest of fairytales. Mystical landscape. A cursed lough. Irish lore. A red headed American girl. And the Devil of Dublin. “May you be in heaven half an hour before the Devil knows you’re dead.” Even after you finish the story, it will keep slipping through your mind. You’ll just have to read it again. Or better yet, listen to the audiobook. I did. Elizabeth Klett’s crisp clean voice brings Darby to life. Eric Nolan’s deep tone and Irish accent will drown you in velvet emotion. Wonder, joy, excitement, dread, remorse, love, fear, fury, lust. Fairy magic. An utterly riveting tale. Do not miss it.

Irish Folklore with a touch of Mafia, yes please!!

B.B. Easton weaves a tale of Irish Folklore like you've never heard it before with a touch of Irish Mafia and two people so broken you don't think they will ever get their happily ever after.

There was so much about this book that I loved from the descriptions of the Irish countryside all the way to the darkest parts of Kellan, but I still felt like I was missing something. Like I wasn't getting the entire picture that this story was trying to tell me.

Darby had been through it after coming back to Glenshire after so many years away. She had a fiancé who was like everything that she feared but she still let him lead her around. Even though deep inside her she always longed for the boy with curly dark hair. Kellan was the same as Darby he had done what he had to do to survive. It wasn't the best life but still he had hope for the girl with fiery hair and yellow wellies. When they are reunited secrets on both sides could cause them from getting what they have always wanted. One another.

The narration was fantastic, truly. I don't know if I could have read this book myself, but Elizabeth Klett and Eric Nolan did such a fantastic job with the accents I felt like I was in in Ireland. I must give it to Eric Nolan though with his emotions because several times he about had me in tears with the way he conveyed the hate that Kellan had for himself.

I don't even really know how to rate this book because I enjoyed it, but I wanted more. More information on the folklore and how that tied into Darby & Kellan's life.

wow

When BB teased a bit of the audio, I was a goner from Kellen's first word! this story was so good! it was dark and light at the same time. I was shocked, heated, and at times crumpled in pain while listening to this story unfold. The narrating was perfect! time to find more Irish stories.

Dark story line that’s a must read!

This story was tragic along with being a great love story. The two main characters are bound as young children and live horrific lives until they meet again.

❤️❤️❤️HOLY NARRATION!!!!❤️❤️❤️

This was a really nice, short listen. The beginning was a little drawn out and I wasn’t a fan of the “child” voice. The story was pretty simple and the characters were a little different. Still, I would listen to this again just to hear the male narrator more!! I wish he had done the whole book. The female narrator’s voice was sharply different from the male. At times she was even irritating. I would get so relaxed with the male voice, then her voice would come blaring on. Still, the male voice was sooo good. I tried to find other books he narrated but this is the only one I found!! PLEASE have him read more books!!!!

Great story line!

The story is great and the voices have great tones but are too emotionless. Wish I didn’t waste my monthly credit on it, I’d rather read it than listen at this point.

Phenomenal story, just as Phenomenal narration

I finished this book in one sitting, from the first page i was absolutely hooked. my only complaint honestly is that there isn't a sequel. 10/10 recommend this book. definitely heed the content warning at the beginning on the book.
