It's a good story but needs different narration. The voice didn't match the FMC or the emotions the characters were showing in different parts of the story

I'm really disappointed I wasted a credit on this audio book. The story itself isn't bad but the monotone narration made it very tedious to continue to listen to and on top of that there was background noise throughout the first few chapters. I tried to overlook it but when I got to chapter 6 and could hear narration for another chapter overlapping it I gave up on listening. This comes across like a friend offered to do narration for free in their kitchen or bedroom but had no experience in ever doing it before. Sadly the narration ruined for me what seemed to have the makings of a good story 😞 maybe I'll just stick to the printed version to see how it ends.

I purchased this book out of curiosity because the main character and I shared the same name and same interests but was pleasantly surprised by how heartfelt and well written it was and the excellent narration that brought the characters to life and made you feel like you were really in their world. This is definitely a fun, feel good read you'll be happy you picked up.

A little reminiscent of The Labyrinth in part with a sibling braving the goblin realm to bring back their family member and a goblin king moving the stars to give them their heart's desire but with an enjoyable twist. Will definitely read the other books in the series to see where Freya ends up (hopefully in the willing arms of the goblin king 😉)!

the idea of the story had potential but it seemed rushed and almost like it started out as one story then changed to another halfway through then ended kind of abruptly. it just felt like something was missing

I tried to hang on and finish the story but after the narrator changed on of the main character's accent from american to a poor and almost racist take on a korean accent I cut the audio off

I will freely and honestly admit that I've always been biased in Ms. Singh's favor since I stumbled across Angel's Blood and became a Guild Hunter fan from then on but this has become my favorite favorite story out of the entire series. I waited many years for Illium and Aodhan to get their own stories and the only thing I can say that disappointed me was that the story had to end. This beautifully written story shines a little more light on all the characters that we've come to know in the series and wrapped up questions lingering through out the series. This is a must read that will not disappoint but leave you wanting more.
