Story
Humpback whales are among the most intelligent animals on Earth. Some scientists believe they might even surpass humans in self-awareness, empathy, and communication skills. In this episode, we swim with a whale as he teams up with other humpbacks to use bubbles to catch fish, rescues a sea lion, and puts his own spin on melodies sung by whales across the Pacific Ocean. This is the world in its natural state, defined by seasons, routines, and cycles. By the time this whale is ready to close one eye and go to sleep, you will be too.

What a lovely way to learn about Ireland and its people! Props to the narrator for doing great accents, being so expressive, and making sure the whole book was read aloud to match the enjoyable way it was written.

Story
Seventeen-year-old Aderyn ("Ryn") only cares about two things: her family and her family's graveyard. And right now, both are in dire straits. Since the death of their parents, Ryn and her siblings have been scraping together a meager existence as gravediggers in the remote village of Colbren, which sits at the foot of a harsh and deadly mountain range that was once home to the fae. The problem with being a gravedigger in Colbren, though, is that the dead don't always stay dead.

Story
When the witch built the 40-flight tower, she made very sure to do the whole thing properly. Each flight contains a dreadful monster, ranging from a diamond-scaled dragon to a pack of slavering goblins. Should a prince battle his way to the top, he will be rewarded with a golden sword - and the lovely Princess Floralinda. But no prince has managed to conquer the first flight yet, let alone get to the 40th. In fact, the supply of fresh princes seems to have quite dried up.

The Twisted Family Behind Our Worst President
Reviewed: 12-08-20
A Fascinating Insider Look at the Twisted Family Who Gave Us Objectively Our Worst American President...
I love that this book is read by the author, an actual clinical psychologist who sees in Donald Trump the pathological behaviors instilled in him from early childhood. Mary Trump intersperses humor into her stories of family history and perspective into her observations of human behavior. This book was written not for a personal vendetta, but from a desire to reveal how certain patterns of behavior can lead to dangerous consequences - particularly at a national level.
