A truly wonderful experience. A version of post apocalypse that I have never heard. In my opinion a true original. The narrator was spot on, and character voices very distinctive. It was a pleasure to listen. I can’t wait for the follow ups.

Awesome concept
Reviewed: 10-28-20
The entire trilogy was based on a very original concept(at least to me). The characters were and development of the story was very good. The pace was quick and not a lot of unnecessary words just to fill pages like some others.
I did think some of the interactions were border line childlike and the time frames for the story development was a bit unbelievable.
The narrator was good and well spoken although one of his character voices sounded a lot like Cartman from South Park.

Get the first three books in the Kid Sensation series. Like millions of other kids, Jim grew up wanting to be a superhero. Unlike most of his contemporaries, however, Jim actually had the goods: a plethora of super powers that would have been the envy of any meta on the planet. But when his tryout with the Alpha League - the world's premiere group of supers - goes disastrously wrong, Jim basically becomes an outcast.

Very fun listen. The only negative I have is the teleportation aspect. It would seem popping into an area full of people might be more dangerous than portrayed. What if you teleported to the same area someone was already in? Otherwise we’ll done
Mr Naramore was fantastic as always.

What a wonderfully original take on modern day mythological and the everyday/ not so everyday perils they face. The story was fun and action packed, full of witty dialogue we’ve come to expect from Mr. Gibson.
The narrators were spot on and well read. This was my first Heather Costa book, but I’m sure it won’t be the last. I have listened to many of Kafers performances and they’ve all been absolutely riveting.

From beginning to end this story was wonderful although you really need to listen because the story line moves fast which personally I liked. There’s a lot of different content but didn’t seem to have the hours of meaningless dribble that some authors use to get the pages filled.
The story was a completely original one(at least for me) the main character had depth and were very relatable.
Narrator did a terrific job also. His character voices were distinct and his delivery was spot on like he’d helped write the story.

Story
A homestead on the border of the Wilds should've been a safe, quiet place to raise a family. It should’ve been. Lorin Rhodes is left alone after a brutal attack on him and his family. He failed to protect his land, failed to protect his children, and then, in a near-final act of desperation even failed to kill himself. Some say that a man with nothing to lose is the most dangerous. And Lorin has lost it all.
