Story
When Amos Decker and his FBI colleague Alex Jamison are called to London, North Dakota, they instantly sense that the thriving fracking town is ripe for trouble. The promise of a second gold rush has attracted an onslaught of newcomers all hoping for a windfall, and the community is growing faster than houses can be built. The sudden boom has also brought a slew of problems with it, including drugs, property crimes, prostitution—and now murder.

Story
The 1950s are on the horizon, and Archer is in dire need of a fresh start after a nearly fatal detour in Poca City. So Archer hops on a bus and begins the long journey out west to California, where rumor has it there is money to be made if you’re hard-working, lucky, criminal - or all three. Along the way, Archer stops in Reno, where a stroke of fortune delivers him a wad of cash and an eye-popping blood-red 1939 Delahaye convertible - plus a companion for the final leg of the journey, an aspiring actress named Liberty Callahan who is planning to try her luck in Hollywood.

This is one of my least favorite audiobook by David Baldcaai. Seems like the Aarcher Semmelweis to have been my least favorite. Hopefully in the the future David Baldbacci wille return to write books like his
Own self.

Enjoyed book

This was my first audiobook by the writer. He had come highly recomended. Enjoyed book very much. I liked the story as well as the characters. My only negative comment is I believe the story could have been written with far less foul language.

Fantastic story

This is by far one of the best audio book I have ever listened to. The author had a great plot so allowing the performer to do an excellent job. This is the easiest audio story to follow along that I have ever listened to. We need more stories like this one. One more than again I can’t say how much I enjoyed it.
