This was soooo good. Well written with a nice dose of humor, action, drama and lovedddd the worldbuilding. Romantasy is my jam and this one checked all the boxes. I loved all the main characters.

Story
Sixteen-year-old Eva is a princess, born with the magick of blood and marrow - a dark and terrible magick that hasn't been seen for generations in the vibrant but fractured country of Myre. Its last known practitioner was Queen Raina, who toppled the native khimaer royalty and massacred thousands, including her own sister, eight generations ago, thus beginning the Rival Heir tradition.

I couldn’t stop once I started. Sooo good. Rich world building, characters you root for and love, pacing that pulls you in and forward, emotional and fierce. Very excited to read more from this author. #blackgirlmagic

ACOTAR is one of the best series I’ve ever read. Sarah is a gripping, alluring, gifted storyteller. Once you start, you’d have a hard time putting it down. From the plot, dialogue, world building, unforgettable characters to writing style were perfection. This is a series I’ll read over and over again. I’m waiting for the next books in the series. Gosh I also ship all the couples, ha ha. Love love love Rhys/ Feyre, Amren/Var, Nesta/ Cassian, Elain/ Lucien, Mor/ Az and please find a boo for my Tam Tam.

Story
Two years ago, Louise le Blanc fled her coven and took shelter in the city of Cesarine, forsaking all magic and living off whatever she could steal. There, witches like Lou are hunted. They are feared. And they are burned. As a huntsman of the Church, Reid Diggory has lived his life by one principle: Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. But when Lou pulls a wicked stunt, the two are forced into an impossible situation - marriage. Lou, unable to ignore her growing feelings, yet powerless to change what she is, must make a choice. And love makes fools of us all.

I loved everything about this book. I can’t wait for book 2. Shelby just kept me up for 2 days, once I started I couldn’t stop. Sooo engaging and not one single pace issue IMO. The plot, characters, world building were on point. I loved the twists. Love love love Reid and Lou. I ship them like crazy and I want Ansel and Coco to ship too. Good job Shelby. Great writing too.
