Story
Just a city girl, living in a lonely world. Just a small town boy. This unlikely pair just might be the perfect allies - in war and out. But as the battle to stop GrandGoods heats up and sparks of attraction turn to something more, will Norah's bigger-picture perspective go with Cam's "keep it as it is" attitude? Are they meant to be like biscuits and gravy? Or are they just as wrong as un-sweet tea?

A Terrific Audiobook for a Great Story
Reviewed: 11-17-17
I love romances set in the South, and love it even more when the author is from the region in which the book takes place. Indie author Kait Nolan does not disappoint with her authentic setting and her engaging cast of characters. I am always a little worried when listening to an audiobook version of a story I love but Amy McFadden brought the denizens of Wishful to life in an entertaining and authentic manner! As I listened to the story I felt I was right there with Nora and Campbell, witnessing their story all over again.
Wishful is a small Mississippi town, struggling under the weight of a broken economy. No one feels this weight more than councilman Campbell Crawford as he leads the charge to retain the small town charm that has defined Wishful for decades and boosting the town's flagging economy. Norah Burke is good in her marketing career in Chicago, very good, but when her morals and her company's less than ethical business practices collide, Norah finds herself in Wishful, needing the comfort and refuge that only her Southern roots can provide.
Romance sparks over midnight kisses, and the town heats up over the promise, and threat, of a big box store setting Wishful in its sights. If the corporate suits have their way, Cam and Norah know the things that make the town unique are the very things the town will lose to Big Business. Can Cam convince the town that there are better ways to boost the town's economy without losing the small town charm? And will high power executive Norah be willing to stay once the fight is over? You'll have to get the audiobook to see. I promise you will not be disappointed!
