This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Anyone interested in the personal stories that compose an approximate historical record of the Navy Seals.
What was most disappointing about Dick Couch and William Doyle ’s story?
I was looking forward to an interesting listen filled with interesting stories and unbelievable accounts from men in our history. Sadly, I couldn't get passed the boring accounts of key people involved in the early history of the elite military group.

Story
The critically acclaimed author of The Radleys shares a clever, heartwarming, and darkly insightful novel about an alien who comes to Earth to save humans from themselves. When an extraterrestrial visitor arrives on Earth, his first impressions of the human species are less than positive. But as time goes on, he starts to realize there may be more to this weird species than he has been led to believe. Eventually, the narrator sees hope and redemption in the humans' imperfections and begins to question the very mission that brought him there.

The story is slightly above average at best, but the analytical process of a 'fish out of water' comes across as humorous and entertaining, and in the end, didn't disappoint.

Story
All Porter Fischer wanted was the $4,000 Tony Bosch owed him. But Bosch would not pay him back, so he swiped Bosch’s Biogenesis ledgers as collateral. Fischer eventually examined the lists of clients and treatment plans revealed in the ledgers and saw what he really had: proof that major and minor sports figures came to the Miami antiaging clinic for anabolic steroids, human growth hormones, and other illegal drugs. That included one of the greatest sluggers in modern baseball history: three-time MVP Alex Rodriguez.

Your Look Behind the Curtain of MLBs Steroid Era
Reviewed: 08-22-14
Would you try another book from Tim Elfrink and Gus Garcia-Roberts and/or Johnny Heller?
The draw for me with this book was the behind the scenes look at baseball in the steroid era, past and present. Although at times I wished there was less content on Tony Bosh and more on the MLB, I still wasn't disappointed.
What other book might you compare Blood Sport to and why?
The Yankee Years by Joe Torre and Tom Verducci because both books give Major League Baseball fans a great behind the scenes look at the sport they love.
Did Blood Sport inspire you to do anything?
Not to take Performance Enhancing Drugs in the Miami area.
Any additional comments?
In many ways Blood Sport is the peak behind the MLB's PED curtain that you've been waiting for.

Would you try another book from Greg Behrendt and Amiira Ruotola and/or Greg Behrendt and Amiira Ruotola ?
I would love to see what Behrendt & Ruotola come out with next.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Something not self-help related, as this title pretty much leaves you satisfied with the genre.
What does Greg Behrendt and Amiira Ruotola bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The performance of the two is what sold me on the book. The 5 minute sample is a good representation of the whole audiobook.
Beyond the stelar performance of the two authors you'll find just another self-help dating book that has its' moments.
Any additional comments?
Laughing out loud is guaranteed nearly as often as you periodically lose interest in the book.

Disappointment. I was looking for an informative read about ghosts in today's society instead of a six and a half hour plug for Praagh's show.

In this quirky debut novel from author Matthew Dicks, career criminal Martin uses his OCD to pilfer items from his victims' houses without being discovered. It helps that he only takes things the homeowner would never notice are missing - like a roll of toilet paper or a bottle of maple syrup. Martin has spent so much time snooping through homes he feels like he knows the owners, but when he starts meddling in their personal lives, his precise world turns to haos.

Dicks' quirky main character makes for an interesting premise, but he fails to deliver comparable content. This book turned out to be nine hours of patiently waiting for the plot to pickup.

How did the narrator detract from the book?
Putting the terrible content aside, Golic's performance was lacking, but actually better than Greenberg's, who at times sounded like a child being forced to read from the pulpit during mass.
Any additional comments?
Composed of feeble attempts at humor and legitimately sad performances, this book was at times hard to listen to, but I will always love Mike & Mike and am glad to support them, just as long as they stick to radio.

Read a little smoother.
Did The Most Dangerous Animal of All inspire you to do anything?
Buy my dad a decent Father's Day gift
Any additional comments?
I think the Zodiac killings are fascinating and was exciting to download the newest in the serial killers' saga. I found myself disenchanted with this book until the final part. If you are a fan of true crime and/or the Zodiac killer, stick it out until the final pages of the book and you won't be disappointed.

Simon Vance was born to read books aloud, but his talents weren't highlighted in this venture.
