Other than a few plot holes, my only complaint is that the book was too short. I love Reskin's fast paced story arc. It's like eating a bunch of junk food reading these books, but it's just so satisfying watching an OP main character run through the world. The rate at which plot lines advance keep the story interesting as the main character is pretty much already maxed out without much room for growth. That being the case, these books avoid the frustratingly drawn out miscommunications between main characters that are painful to read through as well as other common elements of fantasy that I'd prefer end as quickly as possible such as slave arcs and internal sabotage from spies etc. I hope the next one comes out soon!

Story
Airborne mage armies traverse enemy territory in utter secrecy. Vast city-liches conspire to influence events from afar, while city-states and archmages unleash strange new magics in a rapidly accelerating magical arms race. Nations and great powers that have remained quiescent for years have begun reaching out into the growing power vacuum. Magical superweapons and giant monsters are wielded by every side in a deadly tangle of alliances and factions, as each squabbling force spirals in towards their inevitable final conflict.

Good ending that ties everything up nicely

Definitely good and worth reading. Like all world building series, the story gets better as each new book comes out and the landscape unfolds. What started off as a little slow of a series, Mage Errant picks up the momentum book after book and turns in to a really grand story. Happy I read these. My only complaint is that there are so many tertiary fight scenes in this book that they started to loose their impact, but the main battles were awesome especially with the integration of all the powers the MC's developed along the way.

Very happy to get more thoroughly fleshed out content. Awesome story that never feels dull. Power and ability progression of the main characters continues at a satisfying rate.
I was hoping this would be the last book in the series so I didn't have to wait for the next one to come out before finishing the story, but when it does I'll be happy there was a 4th...if not more
