This was a well written resource by the late Dr. Missler. I have thoroughly enjoyed the work. Dr. Missler’s teachings are profound and thought-provoking. The only problem I found was some mispronunciations, but the voice of the narrator was smooth. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn more about the background and nuances that can only be found in studying the earlier manuscripts written in mostly Hebrew and Greek without having to learn these languages.

Story
Current child-rearing techniques seek to develop children who are confident, self-assured, and unafraid to speak their minds-lions instead of lambs. Although largely positive, this shift has brought with it some very serious problems in our children's behavior. Without going back to an authoritarian model, Joe Newman has developed new ways of helping children develop the ability to self-regulate without undermining their confidence, and individuality.

I thoroughly appreciate the advice and the real world examples given. However, understanding that the author worked with most of the children in a school setting, I noticed most of the examples and advice seemed to be more geared to teachers and school staff. I was looking for the predominant amount of information to be for parents, but it was more for teachers with mere references to parents being presented after examples involving the school setting. This is an excellent resource for any teacher or school staff looking to help with behavior modifications with some of their students. But if you are parent, you’re going to have to take the core principles being taught and fit them into your own parenting plan, which can be difficult. The main thing that I got out of this book is the “basic rules for the Meet the Hand Approach”.

I cried at one point. The exciting anticipation of each event leapt out especially the end. All of the main characters were well thought out, and their lives intertwined in riveting ways that kept me listening anticipating even more “ooh” moments. I could have done without the sensual portions, but I understand that most who read this like it.

This book was written so very well. My father recommended it, and I am overwhelmingly happy that he suggested it. The descriptiveness is absolutely amazing. I felt as though I were there walking along with Lin as a silent partner feeling everything emotionally and physically. The narrator is the best narrator I have ever listened to, and that is not an exaggeration. The immersion into the story itself was heightened so much the more by the narrator’s use of different accents and inflections. He brought life to the words. I am so glad I listened to this book, and I recommend it fully to you as well.
