The tide of battle has turned. In a magnificent feat of maneuvering, Parno McLeod has lured his enemy into an ambush that has left the Imperial Army with half its strength dead or dying and all of its material support destroyed. Great series, but incomplete.....
Reviewed: 02-27-24
This is my first time reading this author. I loved this series. The narrator gave every character a distinct personality and made each one come alive. I will definitely look for more of his work. I hope another book will be released to wrap up the series. It was great, but there are lot of unanswered questions. Did they win the war? Did they invade Norland? Did Wenny get better? Were the weapons for the ships ever developed? One more book would be appreciated. Thanks for a great read.

WHAT?
Reviewed: 07-27-22
Why are people who were killed in previous books alive in this one? Why were situations that were discussed in the previous book presented like a new idea? This book was pure fluff, I.e. farming, log splitting, exhaustive descriptions of weapons, ammo and shoes. I can't believe the original author and editor had anything to do with this book. It was all over the place then ended on a cliff hanger. A cliff hanger, Really?! Ugh..... I should have taken the advice from other reviewers and skipped this one. . The previous ten books were okay. I wish whoever wrote this had read them before writing this one.

Morgan and his extended family could see the light at the end of the tunnel, dim though it may be. There was the promise of power once again. The plant was being repaired, and it looked as though it may actually run. While it meant lots of hard, sweaty work, the reward was worth the investment. The farm was growing strong, and community involvement was good. People were finally coming to terms with the fact that they needed to work together. So far Mother Nature had been on their side. But that, too, was about to change.

Narrator Improvement
Reviewed: 07-23-22
The main issues I had with this series was the horrible narration and the sometimes childish behavior of the main set of characters. Now it seems the narrator is improving, but the characters are becoming more like adolescent boys then grown men. They are in horrific situations, but are acting like everything is a joke. I like the story line so I'll finish the series. Hopefully it improves in the next few books.

Story
As a prepper, Grayson Rowan was prepared for almost anything...anything other than being totally alone when the sh*t hits the fan. While he sat back and watched the US rattle swords with Korea, play chicken with Russia, and strong-arm China, he felt sure if the lights went out that he and his family would be ready and safe. What he wasn't prepared for was his family not being home if it ever happened. Olivia Rowan is with her sisters, Gabby and Emma, on a girls-only trip to Myrtle Beach. Graysie Rowan, a freshman at university, just wants to go home.

Ridiculous
Reviewed: 07-01-22
Each of these characters (except Maybe Grayson and his daughter) are weak, brainless idiots, especially the three ladies. As supposed to be preppers, none of them seem to actually be prepared for even a power outage. The ladies run around trying to save the world instead of getting home as quickly as possible. To top it off, who in the pepper world has a map that highlights the exact route to the homestead? Noone serious, that's who. I'm going to try to finish this book just to find out if the daughter is a stronger person then the rest of them, but I know I'll be extremely irratated every time the three sisters do, yet another, stupid thing. I will update if I can actually finish this book.

I really enjoyed hearing the sub plot characters stories. It is a lot more violence then I like, but believe people would behave that way in a survival situation. Kevin Pierce's narration was excellent as always.I look forward to reading all the books in this series.

I Loved it. This book is a post apocalyptic Die Hard. Starring Talon as John McClain. If you loved the Die Hard franchise you will like this book. It is in No Way realistic, but he does educate the reader about prepper gear. Give it a try. Still waiting on book 3 though. I want to hear how he gets out of this situation.

1. This book is too short for a full credit 4:47, therefore, I will Not purchase anymore in the series.
2. I cannot even imagine a woman who would be such a pushover (I.e. Alimony, caretaker, etc). Unbelievable! I understand being shocked, but I wanted to yell "snap out of it!".
3. Loved the small island, the people and her sister. However, I would disown my sister if she didn't advise me to get a good lawyer and get what's mine.
4. Her mom needs therapy. Badly. lol
5. I would buy more books by this author If they were longer. 4:47 for a full credit. No way. You need to do a 2 for 1 sale on this series.
