I really enjoyed this book and found the fictional/fantasy parts of it different and interesting especially as they meshed into the otherwise normal world. There are a lot of characters and the author and reader both made it easy to know whose point of view I was hearing. I have read other books where I get lost in the transition and this was not the case with this book.

Story
Sam and Sadie—two college friends, often in love, but never lovers—become creative partners in a dazzling and intricately imagined world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality. It is a love story, but not one you have heard before.

I enjoyed all the video game references, easy listen and mild story until the second half of the book when things got more dark and upsetting at times.
Trigger warning: active shooter, mass shooting, gun violence.

Story
Society darling Persephone Dimitriou plans to flee the ultra-modern city of Olympus and start over far from the backstabbing politics of the Thirteen Houses. But all that's ripped away when her mother ambushes her with an engagement to Zeus, the dangerous power behind their glittering city's dark facade. With no options left, Persephone flees to the forbidden undercity and makes a devil's bargain with a man she once believed a myth...a man who awakens her to a world she never knew existed.

The story was lacking and the narrators voices were distracting or off putting especially during the spicy scenes. When the male narrator did Persephone’s voice it was hard not to laugh at times it’s was kind of cringy and same with when the female narrator did hades voice.
