It technically adds to the overall story but... I wouldn't have missed it if this short story didn't exist.

Story
Dr. Temperance Brennan looks forward to her first vacation in years. She's almost out the door when the bones start appearing. Most puzzling of all are the bones discovered at a remote farm outside Charlotte. The remains seem to be of animal origin, but Tempe is shocked when she gets them to her lab. Why are the X rays and DNA so perplexing? Who is trying to keep Tempe from the answers? Someone is following her, and must be stopped before it's too late.

On the mark

Quite in line with the series, good story, good play out to the end. Only reason for the overall markdown is that I loathe when the audio recordings aren't broken down to the book's actual chapters.

This was a phenomenal story. Complex but not overwhelming, interesting perspectives related to Christian themes, and, overall, just good wholesome fun.

Story
Powerful entertainment from the crime fiction superstar who combines riveting authenticity with witty, elegant prose. Best selling author Kathy Reichs "keeps the twists coming, and by the novel's climax, she has skillfully interwoven her many subplots and red herrings into a satisfying puddle of sex, sleaze, greed and gore," says Publishers Weekly.

Great book, terrible chapter breakdown
Reviewed: 12-02-24
The breakdown of the book out to only 9 "chapters" rather than the 31 of the actual book was pretty annoying. These are great books and details like that should be tended to.

Story
Many people today think the Bible, the most influential book in world history, is not only outdated but irrelevant, irrational, and even immoral. This explanation of the Book of Genesis, the first book of the Bible, demonstrates clearly and powerfully that the opposite is true. The Bible remains profoundly relevant - both to the great issues of our day and to each individual life. It is the greatest moral guide and source of wisdom ever written.

Unexpected... -do- get it.
Reviewed: 10-15-24
IDK... this was not what I expected. Good? Bad? IDK. Very different priorities of focus than what I'm used to from... Christian... biblical commentary. I have a great respect for Dennis Prager's defense of America and the constitution. I expected this to be similar. Instead, again, IDK, it was just different. I absolutely -do- still recommend getting and listening to it.

Story
In the earliest days of our nation, a handful of unsung heroes - including women, slaves, and an Iroquois chief - made crucial contributions to our republic. They pioneered the ideas that led to the Bill of Rights, the separation of powers, and the abolition of slavery. Yet their faces haven't been printed on our currency or carved into any cliffs. Instead they were marginalized, silenced, or forgotten - sometimes by an accident of history, sometimes by design.

Very informative but really depressing to hear of all the battles lost in fighting to protect us then from the problems we face now.
