great story

The storyline is interesting; narrator over emphasized words and use unbelievable accents, detracting from the narration.

Story
Fifteen years ago, five ordinary teenagers were singled out by a prophecy to take down an impossibly powerful entity wreaking havoc across North America. He was known as the Dark One, and his weapon of choice - catastrophic events known as Drains - leveled cities and claimed thousands of lives. Chosen Ones, as the teens were known, gave everything they had to defeat him. After the Dark One fell, the world went back to normal...for everyone but them. Of the five, Sloane has had the hardest time adjusting.

Foul language
Reviewed: 07-06-22
In the past I've been a Veronica Roth fan. It stops at this book; within the first few minutes the language was so dour it took away any desire to wade past the frequent and gratuitous, foul dialog to get to the potential interesting storyline. It was a gross disappointment.

Boring!
Reviewed: 01-25-19
I kept listening hoping the story would improve since I paid for it. It did not. Very disappointing, gratuitous snd predictable steamy sections for no reason that I ended up fast forwarding through. Don’t waste your time of money like I did.
