The book gives a look at milltary life without overtly shoving it into our face. The reveals were subdued like in life, they were not the focus but nice nodds to how real life is. I don't want to contrast this with the movie, they did uses some of the books sources meterial but too obvious poetic license. As a stand alone book we'll woth the listen. I could listen to R. C. Bray read a phone book.

Well I don't know where to start, the original character of Joe Ledger is lost in this story. After the formation of Rogue Team the story lost its punch and Joe lost his edge. I enjoyed the first books but the political commentary, adding COVID and spreading the focus off the original team to cover multiple little story lines, has left me wanting. This is the last Johnathan Mayberry book I will probably listen to. Ray Porter could read a phone book and be entertaining well done sir.
