I couldn't finish. The beginning was great till the second act. The chemistry was off between the 2 MCs. Just felt toxic. half the time I'm not sure what's happening. The writing feels off.

Just like that I need to wait for the next book. Absolutely wonderful, I enjoyed this continuation. Ah the ending I need more 😩. I know another book of Talyn is coming as well. Definitely gonna read that and listen to the audiobook. Still dang it I was so immersed in the story that the last chapter slapped me in the face. Time passed by so fast.
Ruth narration is great no problems with that of course.

This is my first book from this author. I've listen to Litrpg's, harems, LGBT, horror stories, etc.
I don't have a favorite Genre. I thought this was going to be a Decent Love story but geez I was wrong. I really enjoyed this.
1 last thing, Van... I knew this dude was gonna be great.
After a couple of chapters he became my favorite.

I wasted my credit on this series. Lmao Powerups coming left and right in this book. Sex to summon gods/to use old gods powers. A dragon........ that really wasn't even necessary. I guess for the final battle but seriously 😐 did he really do anything.
Plans being made that makes you think
"Hmm that's a dumb plan". I'm not joking All the plans the MC made. I'm thinking that's a really bad plan.
Then the Final battle. LMAOOOO THE MASTERMIND, THE MAIN VILLAIN WAS REVEALED BECAUSE OF A FREAKING PEBBLE.
I'm just Wtf is this.

........ A cliffhanger, 😮💨
okay this is the "END" of Alex story as the main character.
He pops up in different stories in William d arand universe. Still that ending wasn't satisfying at all.
(Spoiler)
Dude been a POW for who knows how long. Been starving himself and beaten up. Finally gets out then only meets 1 wife the duchess.
I wanted him to reunite with His Wives and Numbers. Would've been great to see that. Like 1 more chapter could've solved that.
He also got Magic. Fire Magic, ugh count Inferno tsk. Ya cruel William lmao why give him that power in this book and not follow it up.
Then Revealing a whole new enemy.
FRUSTRATING MAN a fourth book Would've been great.
Heck tie up these loose ends. I wanted to see him advance technology. Have some slice of life dammit. See his kids grow up.
this is my first series this author. I'm honestly not sure if I wanna pick up his other series. I feel like they'll end up on a cliffhanger as well.

I'm going to be comparing this to his masterclass series cause I love it. This is my third series from him.
My second was monster masseur..... I DNF that one couldn't get past 3 hrs. (Hmm guess my second) oh well
So heads up if I bring up Masterclass
Okay, hellmarine
It reminds me of Halo because the blue AI women.
Doom because of the MC Killing his way through demons. His whole point in life is to destroy them. Plus bro says " rip, tear, crush, destroy" almost all the time when he's on a rampage.
Feel like doomslayer would have those thoughts when killing demons.
Also warhammer 40k because the ✨️Chainsword✨️ a great weapon. Makes you wanna-
The MC is a quiet type. He's boring okay. Mostly grunts or ignores people. Don't worry he does talk from time to time but still. He's one of those people.
We mostly follow the side character's POV. They bring life to this story. This is book 1 so not that much character development. Hopefully in book 2. The hellmarine opens up more. He does somewhat but his character development gets backseat. You know we gotta KILL THEM DEMONS..rip... tear..
I wouldn't say the story is bad. It's also not great. The harem takes a while to form which I like. We do get 1 love interest fast but I expected as much.
There is sex, wouldn't say it's creative. Like in the masterclass series. Its decent i mostly skip over them. I prefer fade to black more. Though I'm listening to a haremlit. Not gonna happen lol. Also Imagine a 7ft muscular dude and a 5 ft woman..........rip and tear. Yikes let's move on
The action was good. Better then masterclass id say. I could follow that closely. Still the constant skill Description. Now that killed the flow. Seriously😭 I know what the skill is. No point describing it everytime.
Was kinda scared something like that would happen in this book but was relieved that I was wrong.
Male N sounds Muffled half the time
Women N was great
Beginning of the story was great. Middle part was okay. Toward the end felt kind meh. I knew the MC was gonna be OP. So after a while of people in shock of his "power". Kinda got boring.
Still for what it was. I enjoyed it. Not as good as his masterclass series (geez creaming this lmao). Idk better Plot and character development....horrible fights.
( Enchantment activated- taunt, when activated the user is granted the taunt..... SYSTEM NOTE YOUR MOTHER IS AN ORC AND YOUR FATHER SMELL OF DRAGON FART!!!!! I swear 🤬 to God lmao. I'm speaking with the narrator when the skill is activated.)
AHEM
Still this is only book 1, I'm still gonna pick up the second book of hellmarine. Maybe this will become my favorite series.
Doubt it Eli and Mayrai interactions are great. Best part of masterclass. Hellmarine MC is like a brickwall. I am my perimeter and my perimeter is me.

Ellis Patterson can’t lie, the unexpected visit of her best friend’s auntie could be the most exciting thing that’s happened since Ellis drifted to this small town several months ago. She pictures Bex Naylor as a typical favourite aunt: eccentric, childless, probably flitting about in flowered dresses, burning sage. But Bex defies every stereotype. Black leather on her long, slim body, motorcycle to match, Bex has been following the wind for a year. And when those bright green eyes lock with Ellis’, she feels like she’s died and gone to heaven.

it's just so freaking random. Went 0 to 100 so quick. Alot of she said blah blah. Bex family is over dramatic. Ik I'm not bex but Jesus she put up with alot of sh*t. I'd sock my sister in the face if she talked to me like that. Especially on the information on how bex was born. LIKE??? how is that her fault?
I haven't finished the book. I'm 1hr in, just got smacked with all this drama. I mean I do like it but it feels idk how to put it forced/fake?

Honestly, after a few day since I finished this. I want to follow kameryn story more. I know we had some closure on what happened afterwards. Still would make a great second book seeing her fall in love again.
I just wanna know who will capture her attention because.... jeez man even after therapy. She still seemed broken. Yes, people who go through what she's been through never truly heal.
If we don't then okay I'll just have to daydream like many do. Maybe we'll get a book on Sam next. That'll be wonderful as well.
Abby Craden is great as always.

HELLO PEOPLE

I just finished reading book 6 in this series. lemme tell you. Its great, book 1 was a little rough for me. I couldn't follow along. Seemed boring half the time but picks up close to the end. I think Book 2 really made me stick with this series.
There's Romance in this story but it doesn't take away from the plot. I would say the romance kinda bends towards harem/poly relationships. I'm fine with this because of Benjamin Medrano books series. He focuses on polyamory. So when I saw this here, it was a welcome surprise.
(If that doesn't sit right with you. Yes the romance pops up here and there but I think you should still stay for the story)
Fun characters especially vash you'll meet him later in the books. Hector and his banter is so funny to me at times.
performance was great. Talented people working on this audiobook. Plus the music brings the story to life. When the music picks up. You know it's gonna be a great scene.
Some stuff might trigger some people. Deals with some dark theme so ya been warned.
so,
book 1 and 2 is a 4/5
book 3 through 6 is 5/5
especially book 6 really picks up and looking forward to the last 3 books I believe that'll come.
