Story
After Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer. Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all, and if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life.

Good Story

I really enjoyed this story. I have a couple of items to point out, however. Sasha’s selfishness was over the top and yes there were times I wish our MC was a little less hostile, but she’s a great three dimensional character. Why the fade to black love scene. It didn’t need to be graphic at all but that left a void.

I’m usually not big on vampire/paranormal romance, but leave it to a Ali Hazelwood to write three dimensional characters with solid motivations, goals and heart wrenching backstory. This was a slow burn romance with a little mystery and intrigue. Highly recommended!

Story
Dr. Briana Ortiz’s life is seriously flatlining. Her divorce is just about finalized, her brother’s running out of time to find a kidney donor, and that promotion she wants? Oh, that’s probably going to the new man-doctor who’s already registering eighty-friggin’-seven on Briana’s “pain in my ass” scale. But just when all systems are set to hate, Dr. Jacob Maddox completely flips the game . . . by sending Briana a letter. And it’s a really good letter. Like the kind that proves that Jacob isn’t actually Satan.

Could’ve been a perfect book
Reviewed: 09-21-23
First, I’d like to say I absolutely loved the main characters (Jacob is perfection), the supporting characters and that adorable dog. I literally laughed out loud 20-30X. The slow burn romance started off great, but we deserved at least one spicy scene (I won’t spoil) and a little less miscommunication. What would’ve literally been my top three all-time favorite books (if not number one) dissolved. Regardless, it’s definitely a good book and worth the read.
The narration is perfection

Nonstop Emotions!
Reviewed: 08-08-23
This is by far one of the best books I’ve ever read. The human dynamics of friendship, family, and love intertwined with magic and political intrigue in a race across the Empire. I will say, that despite the fact I care for Helena, Elias, and Laia, it wasn’t my deep attachment to them that brought me to tears (and I did cry 3X), it was the humanity—good and bad—behind the situations they found themselves in. I could kinda do without the romance, but the friendships are golden. Highly recommended!!

No one seems to take Naomi Pine's disappearance seriously, not even her father - with one exception. Hester Crimstein, a television criminal attorney, knows through her grandson that Naomi was relentlessly bullied at school. Hester asks Wilde - with whom she shares a tragic connection - to use his unique skills to help find Naomi.

A Perfect Insta-Love Rom-com
Reviewed: 02-06-23
Carter, Hollywood”s popular heartthrob is not quite himself. The method actor dedicated to his craft is no longer a muscular hunk, but incognito as an emaciated version of Grizzly Adams. On his flight to Aruba, Carter eyes Tori, the alluring and buff personal trainer and immediate object of his affection.
I love Tori, but Carter, who I found endearing, entertaining, sweet, and absolutely hysterical, is the star in my eyes. The poor man is struck by insta-lust and convinced Tori is the one. His initial standards for life-long matrimony is shallow and far from being high, yet Tori, a sweet, smart, & hard working goddess is a good choice. What I truly love about her is the fact that she’s drawn to a scrawny and bearded lightweight drinker because he’s funny and evokes a *depth* through his eyes. Does she act like a groupie when she discovers Carter’s fame? This is the conflict and the fun. I loved this romp. Mia Sosa never fails. A definite re-read for me.

Anything with Cardan and the opportunity to enter the world of Faerie is gonna be a winner for me. My only gripe is the jarring time jump near the end. I would’ve really appreciated reading his POV when Jude was held captive in the sea as well as banished from Faerie in Queen of Nothing. I understand that this is a novella, but it would’ve tied everything together so much more. Overall I truly enjoyed it.
