2024 Audie Award Finalist for Best Thriller/Suspense Audiobook

2023 SOVAS Award Winner for Audiobook Narration—Thrillers, Best Voiceover

Five years ago, an innocent man began a life sentence for murdering his own son. Today he found out his son is still alive.

David Burroughs was once a devoted father to his three-year-old son Matthew, living a dream life just a short drive away from the working-class suburb where he and his wife, Cheryl, first fell in love—until one fateful night when David woke suddenly to discover Matthew had been murdered while David was asleep just down the hall.

Half a decade later, David’s been wrongly accused and convicted of the murder, left to serve out his time in a maximum-security prison—a fate which, grieving and wracked with guilt, David didn’t have the will to fight. The world has moved on without him. Then Cheryl’s younger sister, Rachel, makes a surprise appearance during visiting hours bearing a strange photograph. It’s a vacation shot of a bustling amusement park a friend shared with her, and in the background, just barely in frame, is a boy bearing an eerie resemblance to David’s son. Even though it can’t be, David just knows: Matthew is still alive.

David plans a harrowing escape, determined to achieve the impossible–save his son, clear his own name, and discover the real story of what happened. But with his life on the line and the FBI following his every move, can David evade capture long enough to reveal the shocking truth?

Critic reviews

“Harlan Coben could not ask for a better person than narrator Steven Weber to portray a man wrongly accused of killing his own son. Weber, known for his movies, television shows (like the long-running Wings), and top-notch audiobook performances, including several other works by Coben, has a natural ease and an ability to transport the listener into a world of panic, desperation, and hope. He lends a distinctive voice to men, women, and children that makes this work a joy to hear. Weber is particularly effective as David Burroughs, who must escape prison, find his son, and capture the person responsible for framing him.”AudioFile Magazine

"Coben plays out the suspense with a master craftsman’s impeccable technique."CrimeReads

"Harlan Coben is one of our greatest living thriller writers, and instantly engaging hooks like the one in I Will Find You are a big reason why."BookPage

COBEN IS ON TOP OF HIS GAME

I was captivated and could not stop listening to it. I was really drawn to the characters which intensified my interest. Have listened to every one of Coben’s books. This was as good a read (listen) as it gets. Steven Weber was an excellent reader.

Good Book

This was a better Harlan Coben book. I had stopped because the quality was just not there. This is better, and anytime that the attorney Crimstein is in his book, it will have some comic relief!

Very Good Read

Much better without the author’s usual political propaganda inserted. Much milder and at least the story was suspenseful and interested.

A bit unrealistic

The plot was a bit unrealistic, but the ending helped to make it tolerable. This book is my least favorite from this author.

Fun ride!

I love Harlan Coben - each story is clever, exciting and affords more than a few chuckles amid the nail biting! Not a huge fan of Mr. Weber reading Coben’s books, I much prefer Scott Brick, but his Nicky Fisher was pretty funny. (Note to producers across the Audible sphere: Ralph Lauren’s last name is pronounced like the girl’s name and Antigua has a hard G and is not pronounced Antigwah - narrators get these two wrong all the time
