Story
Nobody ever looked at an empty calendar and said, "The best way to spend this time is by cramming it full of meetings!" or got to work in the morning and thought, Today I'll spend hours on Facebook! Yet that's exactly what we do. Why?

I am pretty sure these guys just did a Google search on productivity and covered everything listed. It started off better than it ended and I hated the way they said things, like saying the chapter titles together.

Story
There’s an old saying that if the first thing you do each morning is eat a live frog, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you’re done with the worst thing you’ll have to do all day. For Tracy, eating a frog is a metaphor for tackling your most challenging task - but also the one that can have the greatest positive impact on your life. Eat That Frog! shows you how to organize each day so you can zero in on these critical tasks and accomplish them efficiently and effectively.

This just seems like a rundown of all productivity advice that is out there. Everything mentioned is short and moves on to the next thing. I like productivity books, but this is the worst I’ve read or listened to.

Story
Nobody needs telling there isn’t enough time. We’re obsessed with our lengthening to-do lists, our overfilled inboxes, work-life balance, and the ceaseless battle against distraction; and we’re deluged with advice on becoming more productive and efficient, and “life hacks” to optimize our days. But such techniques often end up making things worse. The sense of anxious hurry grows more intense, and still the most meaningful parts of life seem to lie just beyond the horizon.

It Bored Me

I struggled to get through this one. The performance was fine but the content was just plain vanilla stuff. Then the bonus content at the end for another book from the author was pretty much a repeat of the book I just listened to.

Essentialism is more than a time-management strategy or a productivity technique. It is a systematic discipline for discerning what is absolutely essential, then eliminating everything that is not, so we can make the highest possible contribution toward the things that really matter.

Didn’t Inspire Me

Every productivity has inspired me to do better. This one repeated everything I’ve heard in popular books but it was boring. I think I noted one quote to reread from time to time. It just wasn’t worth the time.

I had this in my book list for years and finally got to it. I have the physical book too. It felt like a waste of time and I learned nothing new except for the talk about VC’s and angel investors but none of that is relevant to me or my small business. I didn’t care for the voice either.
