Story
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

Loved the story...The narrator not to my liking
Reviewed: 12-11-23
I loved the story when I read the series when it first came out. Passed it on to my son and his girlfriends too over the years. We even named out cat Scarlett :) However when I purchased the audible version to reread recently I could not finish it due to the narrator, Sample it first to make sure you can stand it.

I started reading this book because of the TV show. came out, it took me awhile to finish it there is so much detail at times you lose track of what is really going on haven't to go back a chapter and listen again. I still don't understand why Amy was talking to the animals at the zoo it never explain this or perhaps I missed it. because of the cliffhanger I will read the next book it was a good book just slow at times and it jumps around and made me a little confused.
