Story
After a brazen rescue mission to the Citadel, the crew of the Trash Squid have rescued Captain Axel Finn. During their escape, a dying Admiral Jessup tells Axel he must lead the resistance, and that he must start it where his father made his last stand, on the mining world of Furia. On the planet Runi, Sergeant Jax Brito returns to her family farm to find her father on his deathbed. After dealing with the thugs that put him there, her trip is cut short when a Clipper arrives with a message—the Citadel has been attacked and forces are gathering to take it back.

Loved all 3 books. I am a fan of N.S.S and almost finished every book he has written. Everything he writes is gold. And if he has a say in the narrator's then bravo.

1st. I thought the narrator was perfect for this. perfect for the main characters as Maya was female and did a great Lilly. second, WHAT AN ENDING! I never saw it coming. that's why the 5's mostly. I almost had to rewind the last 2 chapters. this is my first listen to the author. Not usually a who dunnit or mystery person. but now I just ordered another from Harlan.

Two years after an attack brought down the electrical grid across the United States, the recovery effort is well underway. A new network of armored trains carry supplies and industrial equipment crucial to rebuilding the country. But along the rails, one area of America is still mired in darkness, violence, and danger. Some call it the Badlands. Others the Wild West. The government simply refers to it as the New Frontier.

it's Nicholas Sansbury Smith man! My favorite. I'm rapidly approaching hearing every series he's written. I'm getting used to Bronson Pinchot too. (I've finished all of Trackers). He's the only person that does a great job of Ravens voice. Pretty much will binge the rest of this series too.

Over all good books. Enough to get books 3 and 4. I felt that there could have been more action, especially since they are bounty hunters. The new villain that has popped and will be in 3 and 4 seems more promising than the Sloans. We will see.

I think this was the 3rd one and after this write I'm hoping to find a 4th. I was in to the mystery of Strike and Robin's case, but this time, for me it was all about their relationship. I'm not a soap opera kind of guy, but every chapter that was focused just on them, I couldn't get enough. I guess you could say it's the chemistry that's addicting.

Story was good. The reader was awesome. I just need to up my vocabulary better. Some big words. I have the gist of most of them but some adverbs and adjectives had way to many syllables to them. And some I've never heard before. But that's me. There are way smarter people than me. And it's not stopping me from going to book 2.
